We were travelling around the Burgundy Bourgogne region and came across this charming bistro in a little village called Port Lesney. We weren't expecting much and were so pleasantly surprised at what an amazing place this was. We sat outside on a beautiful summers day and ate beef carpaccio to start. Beautifully presented and with a chilled rose wine it was perfect. Then we had their fish and chips for main (friture D'Ablette), delicious crispy fried little fish with golden brown pomme frites and a salad. My husband had the chicken served with pasta and mushrooms which was tender and moist.
For dessert we had their Craquelin Citron, which was a creme brulee, french style and finished off the meal perfectly.
Great service, pleasant staff who really make an effort to communicate in English which was appreciated.
We will go out of our way again to spend time at this bistro!
