DECEIVING PICTURES OF THE PLACE POSTED IN THE NET! THE PLACE IS A WHOLE MESS!!!!! Never ever try going to this place, folks! You will just be wasting your time and money on a place full of trash. The rooms are so dirty. The surroundings - my goodness! We were required to make a 50% deposit for a 2 night stay in this place but we only stayed for a night because the place is just a total waste of money, time and effort. The pictures posted in the net are so totally not true! If you want a waste of money and time, go ahead, enjoy this filthy place! Our company really had a terrible time at Ronco Beach Resort!

One word to describe this place: FILTHY!

We reserved a room for 3 nights/4 days and the the person we talked to said that there was no need to make a 50% deposit, so we were relieved that we have not paid a single cent because it would mean we have to stay on that dingy place.

When we got there the place was not yet cleaned and there was only ONE staff to clean the whole mess the previous guest left. It smelled of trash and the beach was dirty and the photos in their website are very good to hide the flaws of this resort. The pool was not maintained and looked like haven't been changed for a long time. The beach front is not wide and filled with kids from the community they are sharing with so there was no peace and relaxation and the unnerving part was they kept on staring at us the whole time we were talking to the staff. The room was not worth the 2000+ as it was old looking and badly needs a renovation. Paints were peeling from the wall and the mattress looked to dirty to sleep in even with new bed sheets ! We took one look on the ROOM 1 and we just said thanks to the staff and left the horror place.

The staff was helpful and recommended other places because she looks tired from maintaining the place all by herself that day. And she sound relieved when we said goodbye.

The place was not the price and the effort you took to go there, save yourself the trouble and skip this place, there are lots of places you can stay at Calatagan that would be better than this.

I stayed two nights at Ronco with my officemates and friends, and it was wonderful. Though the ride was not a short one, we found that it was all worth it when we got to the beach. It was quiet and the view was lovely. The place was perfect for relaxation. We were welcomed by the staff there and they assisted us with our bags even without asking for help.

The staff were also very helpful in our cooking needs. If it weren't for them, our amazing barbecue and grilled fish lunch menu won't be possible. Our nights there were also unforgettable. I had fun with my friends as we camped out on the shore, singing and chatting until after midnight.

It's a nice hiding place from the busy city life. With a friendly crew who always served with a smile, it actually felt like we were staying as personal guests of a family.

Highly recommended and great value for money.

I went with two friends to Ronco. We're the type of travelers who are not into luxury. We like keeping it simple when I travel..and when possible, we want to be away from the crowd. This is is why we enjoyed our stay here. Its not your Shangrila Boracay type of place. Ronco is a nice little warm family owned resort with the basic amenities a unfussy traveler seeking peace and quiet needs - a good clean room and bathroom, and a lovely view. It is cozy and a little separated from all the Calatagan resorts, which is perfect because I get that peace and quiet that I need.

Ronco has a fairly good stretch of beach which gives you enough space to stroll and explore. Off the shore is a raft you can swim to and hang out at. On one side of the beach is a boardwalk which leads up to a great hangout space away from the shore. Whether you want to read, have a nice ice-cold beer during the day, or sit with friends while swapping stories at night...its such an awesome spot. Probably my favorite part of the resort. My friends and I hung out here at night drinking a few beers white star-gazing.

Furthermore, I got to chat with the owner, Tito Willie. He's a nice, funny, quiet guy who's got some funny stories here and there. All you need is to prod him a little. hehe. :) He's also a guy open to suggestions. I read some of the negative reviews of this place and shared some great ideas with him. He was quite enthusiastic.

All in all, Ronco is a nice weekend get-way for small families and barkada's that want a simple, chilled-out, but fun time away from the city.

me with my kids & Officemates went here last april 20,2012. We rented the dolphin house which is located on the top of the resort. the house is very nice & cozy. there's a ref, tv, gas stove, dining area. In the 2nd floor there's 2 double beds and 4 extra mattress and beddings in the cabinet. There's 2 T&B each floor. We even have our own veranda , grill area and sunbathing seats. THe view in the veranda is breathtaking. The only downside of the room is that before you can go to the beach you have to go down the steep stairs (75 steps). The dock is nice and very calming especially at night. We went there it's lowtide. Its advisable to brought your own food, you can buy at the calatagan market before you proceed to the resort. The prices in their resort for the shampoo, oil, water 5 gallons (200) is way HiGH! You have no choice because you can't find any store near their resort.

Their beach have so many leaves so its irritating to walk though its clear and when we had our banca ride..we just went to the 7ft deep water of the beach which is nearer the resort itself..though they told us its white sand.

The manong that was assigned to us is the good thing we enjoyed. He's very accomodating. we'll just text him if we need anything and then he'll be the one who bring to our place all the way to that 75 steps stairs. The staff were all nice.

Almost all the people who checked in there just enjoyed their time in the pool than the beach especially the kids.
