We booked a deluxe room w/ loft for one night on may 21 (sat) for a family of 4 about a week before that day. When we were about to leave about 9am, the front desk in charge of booking called up and said that our room wasn't available because of rain water dripping from the roof due to frequent heavy rains (yup experienced the heavy rain at night). We were forced to "downgrade" our room to a standard room with 2 extra mattresses so we can fit (so 2 people slept on the floor). We were at first given the price 4270 vs the 4370 of the deluxe. We complained about the price because it was their fault anyway, so they gave us a price of 3800. We accepted it.
When we arrived there, we proceeded to the front desk and got the price they gave us. After that, each group that reserved will have their personal tour in a somewhat touring vehicle. We kinda liked the environment. They have many pools, an outdoor 12th century Chinese pots and ceramics museum, a butterfly garden (which had no butterflies at all) and Jacuzzis (2).
When we arrived in our room, it was kinda small, considering it only for 2 persons. Bathroom was clean, TV, like other reviews, no cable and sucked because there is a cable wire attached to it (btw, language was in Korean and only local channels are shown which are blurred). Rooms by the way are really far from the front desk. A telephone is located outside near a room to call the front desk. Water from the faucet and the pool is salt water as it comes from the sea beside the resort. The sea by the way is not swimmable.
Food was for me, below average. There food is expensive and doesn't taste good at all some even don't have taste.
They don't have an ATM in the resort and they do not accept credit cards so better withdraw in advanced. They have this prepaid cashless payment scheme a.k.a. passport. You let the facility where in you bought something to sign to get the item paid.
They also have a Saturday cultural show, outdoor cinema (no movie because of heavy rains), spa and a big fish pond. You can go fishing but keep your hopes up to catch a big one. Management said fishes are still small. Fishing rod is free to use but fish should be bought per kilo depending on if it is bangus or tilapia.
It's a good thing we were forced into a standard room. Although we saw most deluxe rooms occupied, we wouldn't feel safe if only 2 of us would sleep in the loft at the deluxe because it is OPEN to everyone passing. You might not know while sleeping someone is already there, entrance to loft is outside the room through stairs and I think if the outside temperature is warm, you'll also feel warm because electric fans are the ones cooling the loft excluding the big window.
WiFi access by the way is only at the lobby.
Well despite the bad side, we kinda enjoyed my stay. But I am not sure if we will still book in this resort in the future.
