Velit Bay is located in a huge plantation. The views are incredible, and the bay is nice to swim / snorkel but the spot where you can eat is rather small - so is the menu. It's good for a lunch break or a coffee / drink in the afternoon but I would not go there for dinner.

Stopped in here for lunch during a day trip around Santo - recommended. Great views of a beautiful bay as your approach. Lunch at the beach bar (15 Degrees) was wonderful - and highly recommend the "sisig(?)" - a Filipino dish. Good variety of other meals also available, including meals that some "fussy Australian teenagers" enjoyed. Beach volleyball court available, which the teenage kids (and some older "kids") enjoyed, along with some other ball sports on the well-maintained lawn area. Highly recommended as a stop for lunch, a swim or just to enjoy the view.

I have been here many times and always am blown away when I come over the hill and look down on the amazing bay. The view is what you might dream about. Palm trees by the thousands, fringing reef, a fresh water spring so wide there is a boat moored in it. Ahhhhhh

Unfortunately the day we visited it was overcast, however that didn't stop our enjoyment of visiting this beautiful horseshoe shaped bay - known locally as Shark Bay. This beach is reached via a hilly gravel road off the sealed East Coast Road through privately owned Velit Bay Plantation. Signage is located on the main road, There is some accommodation available in the main plantation house, but we didn't have a chance to look at it. This bay is more "commercialised/westernised" and not set on a local village like most of the other stunning beaches on the east coast.

More white sandy beaches and clear blue tropical water. There are reefs offshore for snorkeling and diving, in addition to the small spring fed “Blue Hole” close to the beach for freshwater swimming. This blue hole was much smaller to others we'd seen on Santo, but it was just as blue and clear, even though it's virtually surrounded by salt water.

There's a number of water activities available for a fee including kayaking, wind surfing, fishing, and paddleboards. We choose to relax and visit the 15 deg South Beach Bar located on the beach and enjoy the surroundings which were peaceful at the time of our visit.
