This little island would be much better if it had a really nice beach and more places to swim. There is only one good swimming spot, a hole in the reef, about 15 min walk from the resort. The other swimming areas leave a lot to be desired, the coral isn't super amazing and there is no good surf beach. Good for a day visit and lunch.

We went over for a day trip, but wished we could've stayed for a few days (they were booked out). The boat over was free, resort was immaculately maintained, beautiful setting, staff funny and kind. We had booked in for the Sunday buffet (12pm 2000vuv pp) and it was the best meal we've had in vanuatu yet. Amazing chocolate beef ribs, fresh fish and yum profiteroles for dessert. The atmosphere is relaxing. With the buffet we got free use of the kayaks and we paddled to the blue hole before lunch. Was spectacular. The only downfall was the lack of extra rooms as we really wanted to stay.

We ate here a couple of times while staying at the resort. The view is lovely and we found the staff to be friendly, helpful and efficient - love to hear the infectious laughter from them. We had pizzas on the second visit and they were yummy - I couldn't finish the medium size pizza I ordered. We ordered the bread board to start - home made bread which is delicious (just wish it had been left in the oven a bit longer).

Prices here are pretty standard for Santo. We also ate the smorgasbord night here and the food was great - the meat was all cold though so not sure if its prepared earlier - but thought with the BBQ theme it would be warmer . Having said that - we arrived at 7pm and it had started at 6pm. The salads were great - really tasty. Dessert was not much to rave about. They had a local string band play and this was one of the highlights of the night. All the staff get out dancing at various times and encourage you (gently) to get up and have a dance with them - we really enjoyed this. The band were ever so patient to allow so many of us to have endless photos taken with them and they helped to make a great night.

Oyster island is beautiful and makes a nice half day trip for lunch. Meals were sizeable and tasty enough but we waited over an hour for our meal after ordering even though the restaurant was not especially busy. Love that the trip over is free.
