“Will be back again”
Reviewed October 14, 2012

Great food, good service, well worth the drive. First time to Benny's and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The specials sounded good but we had come for the fire oven baked pizza. We started with a cool, crisp, lightly dressed caesar salad and had the Californian pizza with spinach, sundried tomatoes and tiny shrimp on a crispy thin crust. It was more than enough for two. The coffee was a good end for the meal. We don't eat out very much but will be back here.

Thank Debra P

“Good food.”
Reviewed August 19, 2012

The food is good, the only problem is the limited menu. When you have picky kids it can be tricky. The entrees we had were well cooked though and the vegtables were to die for.

“Worth the drive to Nipawin.”
Reviewed June 27, 2012

Benny's is a great place to eat for a casual lunch, brunch, or evening dining. Ben runs a "from scratch" kitchen, and everything is fresh and flavorful. There are daily specials at lunch and in the evening, and these change all the time. There is a standard lunch menu of several types of sandwiches, all specialties that you aren't going to get anywhere else. In the evening, the features are three or four different dishes -- say ribs, a chicken dish, a fish entree, and possibly a pasta dish. Go tomorrow, and there will be different features!! Portions are generous, so I always plan on taking half of the main home for the next day!

I have had various sorts of ribs, and they never fail to delight. Any of the noon sandwiches I have tried have been delicious. Benny's Mozza mashed potatoes are delicious and his regular baked veggies are scrumptious. j

Benny's decor is interesting, as long time residents of Nipawin remember this as the old Bank of Nova Scotia. A wood fired oven is built into the vault, and this method of cooking is what gives Benny's special stamp to many of his dishes.

“Rated #1 New Restaurant in Saskatchewan”
Reviewed 7 December 2011 2people found this review helpful
Benny's Bistro is in a class all of its own, as far as I'm concerned. The building was originally a bank, which was remodeled into a classy, quaint restaurant in downtown Nipawin. The vault was turned into a open fire oven, where most of their food is cooked . They do not have a large menu, but what they serve is ALWAYS very good and cooked to perfection. They also boast a "Scratch Kitchen", which means awesome soups & foods. It is truely home cooking with a Flair. All the breads for the Fantastic deli sandwiches are made on site. They usually only feature three or four specials for supper, but Wow... we've always been more than pleased. Wether we order their fire baked pizza, baby back ribs, Ravioli , steak or Chicken.........It's ALWAYS FANASTIC and more than filling!! Definitelya place everyone should experience!! Way to Go, Benny and Staff!!!
