Description: We never overcomplicate our food. For us, simple is brilliant. Our founder, Peter Boizot, said ‘keep it simple’. And that’s exactly what we’ve done for the last 50 years. Naturally, we evolve our menu to keep it fresh and exciting. But the fundamentals of our food will always remain the same: simple, great-quality ingredients coupled with beautiful dough (and plenty of passion). We talk about ‘getting it right every time’ too. And it’s only through simplicity that we can do that, to make sure that every experience with us is as good as the last. So even with 500+ restaurants worldwide and new ones popping up all the time – and our team growing to almost 10,000 strong – everything that comes out of our kitchens will always be, well, consistently brilliant. We’re in the centre of town in a unique, 2-storey former fire station. We’re also close to Leighton Buzzard Steam Railway, that makes for an amazing day out. Come on down and see the magic that our pizza brings for yourself!

Arrived 7pm saturday night having booked. Shown to a small table squeezed in between the next table and some people waiting to be seated. Waitress cheerfully informed us that internet was down so no card payments. We said ok, fine, thanks for letting us know. Then told hot drinksmachine broken so cold drinks only!

Food was ok but had to sit looking straight into disabled toilet at the baby changing table because the door didnt stay shut!
Wont be returning.

Busy, friendly, really nice food and nice decor. Being the old fire station in the town centre adds something to it, like a ghost!
Al the light fittings hang from the roof on long pendants and we sat watching a single fitting swinging to & fro all the time we were there. None of the others moved and no windows were open. It was also too high to touch.
We asked a waitress who said "oh it's the ghost" then quickly laughed & blamed it on the air con..
Anyone else seen it with a better explanation?

Leighton Buzzard really does need good places to eat so there is no excuse for sloppiness. The staff were pleasant, and the food up to normal Express standard, but the restaurant was cold and far from clean. We arrived for an early lunch and the toilets were grubby from the previous day. The whole restaurant needed a good hoover. If you do go, I recommend eating upstairs which provides a more pleasing space, is warmer and will probably have a better atmosphere.

Husband, guide dog and self visited today Monday 18th, the first day of half term. Only one waitress on duty plus a male manager, they were busy, we went in at 12:30.

I had a salad nicoise, the lettuce was past it's best and the tomatoes were woolly.
My husband had an American pizza his comment was "i've had worse but not many"

My coffee was very good.

The waitress was busy but very pleasant and helpful.

The disabled toilet [also baby changing room] was a disgrace, the floor was dirty, the toilet seat was falling off and there was a large brown lime stain in the sink.

Cost £26.55 [for a salad, pizza, coffee and a glass of wine]

The restaurant was also very cold to quote husband "like sitting in a fridge with the door left open"

Don't think we will go again, must say that we only went because Mamma Rosa's shuts on a Monday.

ex·press [ik-spres] adjective - direct or fast, especially making few or no intermediate stops: an express train; an express elevator.

If only that was true with respect to Pizza Express in Leighton Buzzard.

Waited for almost an hour for lunch to arrive and when it did one pizza was burnt. It was replaced by a salad with no dressing.

They were good enough to give us a free drink and a discount on the overall bill but after two hours spent having a quick lunch, this was the least they could do. We were not the only ones to complain, some even left before their food arrived.

Very poor service which was put down to being surprised at how busy they were. It was December 27th and most of the country is on holiday... who would expect to be busy at that time?

Only went because Mama Rosa's was closed.
