“Beautiful setting, good food but overpriced”
Reviewed February 24, 2014

We have been here several times over the past few months, as we like to walk along the canal. The location is beautiful right next to the canal, but it's not the quietest place as it is very near the high speed railway line. Food is good but expensive, as are the drinks. To give you an idea, last week it cost me £9.75 for 2 pints of Peroni. We would visit more often if they made their prices a little more affordable.

“food average expensive”
Reviewed February 18, 2014

Went here for lunch, and had a sandwich with accompanying chips each. The staff were very welcoming and nice atmosphere. Sandwiches were quite nice, however, very small plate and struggled to keep everything on it. The menu is quite limited and l thought expensive in comparison to others serving the same standard of food. A roast is £11.25 and i know from experience you can get decent roast for around £8. Drinks also expensive around £3.90 for a pint of fosters £4 for small wine.

“Good pub food and good service too”
Reviewed February 16, 2014

My family and I decided to have lunch together this weekend. We did book in advance as we know how busy this pub gets. Good choice on the menu, although I did find it a little limited on vegetarian choice. With drink orders taken as soon as we sat down. Food orders taken soon afterwards, and all the meals were brought to our table in good time, and the pub was busy. We decided to have dessert and coffee too. Staff were always on hand to ask us if we needed anything else or more drinks. Service was very good.

Popped in for lunch last week. Was greeted warmly by the staff and really enjoyed my meal. Haven't been before but will be visiting more regularly in future.

“Monday Tea!!”
Reviewed February 2, 2014

Living locally certainly has its benefits!

They went out of their way to cater for my partners dietary requirements, which was most appreciated.

The food was superb, the atmosphere calm and the service timed beautifully.

Most enjoyable.
