“Fabulous villa, great location, wonderful manager!”
Reviewed February 11, 2018 for a stay in July 2017

We had a 2 week stay at salamandra in July 2017.

There were 8 adults, 4 kids and 2 babies. Plenty of space for us all.

Mary-Lou met us at the villa and went through everything. We began settling in!

The villa itself is very well equipped with everything a large family needs and very clean.

The pool and outdoor spaces are amazing, lots of safe enclosed spaces for the children to roam around and the most generous avocado tree! We spent most (all!) of our time outside only going inside to sleep! This was where we found our only gripe, the pillows were poor quality and not at all comfortable. But I called Marylou and within a few hours she had come and supplied extra pillows, which made the situation much better!

The villa is located at the bottom of a very quiet cul de sac and is just a 10 minute walk to some nice shops, supermarket and cafes and restaurants, there’s also a Saturday market in the same place!

You can walk to the coast, it’s about 20-25 mins, hard with kids in the heat of the day! Or u can just Uber it for around €8.

All in all, would recommend this place to families looking for a quiet holiday, or groups after nightlife as it’s a stones throw from the port & all the nightlife!

Thanks Marylou! Have recommended you to a work colleague already!

“Amazing holiday”

My family and I spent a week here at the beginning of July. We were met at the villa by Marylou and checking in was very quick and easy and we were soon settling in.

We immediately felt at home - the villa is very spacious and even with 12 adults there was plenty of room.

The bedrooms were all very comfortable with excellent air conditioning - most have en suite facilities.

The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you need.

The pool is a great size with plenty of sun beds and it also gets the sun all day!! There's a BBQ, table tennis table. The garden is lovely with avocado, lime and olive trees.

The location is perfect, with shops and restaurants a short walk away although anyone with mobility issues should be aware there is quite a steep hill as you come out of the cul-de-sac so may wish to consider hiring a car.

We loved our holiday here and are already planning our return next year and I would like to add that communication with Marylou was excellent right from booking until we left.

This was our first holiday with all my close family,4 children & 8 adults. Salamandra turned out to be one of the best holidays we have ever had .The villa had everything that you could wish for, including a wonderful swimming pool. The villa is situated in a cul de sac and was ideal for peace and quiet but within easy reach for shops etc. Marylou was absolutely wonderful, very helpful and informative I would certainly recommend this to anybody wanting a large party holiday. SUPERB!

“Great holiday villa, ticked all the boxes!”
Reviewed July 31, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We traveled to Spain in a big group of 12 and stayed at Casa Salamandra for a week.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The welcome from Mary-Lou was helpful and efficient, we were allowed to check-in before the schedule time too, which was a great help!

The villa was clean and spacious, plenty of room for a big group. Great outdoor space, we made good use of the pool, sun loungers, BBQ, table tennis and hammocks, during our stay!

The whole villa has good airconditioning, which is needed in the hotter months, and good wifi and hifi/TV system.

Close to a lovely restaurant called Caffe Pasta, where we ate twice...highly recommend it, especially the Versuvio pizza!

The villa is located in an affluent area of Puerto Banus, walking distance to 2 supermarkets and a pharmacy, and a short taxi trip (10/15 mins) into the main part of the town.

Would book here again!

“Fantastic relaxing holiday at a great venue”

Casa Salamandra is located in a very convenient part of Puerto Banus for relaxing away from it all by the pool or walking into Puerto Banus for the night life or beach. It is also superbly situated for any golfers. The gardens are a delight with a good swimming pool, mature trees and vegetation and even a cottage stile room with en suite at the bottom of the garden for any in the party that would like a little privacy. The Villa itself is well equiped and maintained and a perfect place to chill. only 5 minutes walk away is a well equiped supermarket, shops and bars with a fabulous view of the valley, mountain and coastline. Mary Lou is an absolute pleasure to deal with and very proffesional as is Patricia, the lady that is on hand for collecting keys and any queries that you may have during your stay. We were a party of 11, a mixture of adults and children and had a thoroughly good time and can highly recommend this villa.

“Lovely garden and great location for a golf / nightlife holiday”

We were there as a group of 8 guys for a long weekend and used it as a base for golfing and nightlife, with the property located around 15/20 mins walk or a short cab ride from the Port. The garden was a great and scenic spot to relax, with many fruit trees, a pool cleaned daily and table tennis at our disposal. We didn't spend too much time there but overall would recommend it.
