My partner and I stayed at the Kondor Tanya Eco Lodge for 5 nights in June. We travelled there by train and bus from Budapest. We received a warm welcome from Andrea.
Gabor and Andrea are both expert guiders - Andrea is a multi linguist and specialises in cultural guiding, Gabor also speaks excellent english and took us out for two full days introducing us to the Hungarian fauna and flora - particularly birds. There are many self-guided walks that can be taken direct from the lodge.
The rooms are situated in three individual thatched cottages with period furniture, ours was spacious and comfortable. The meals are home cooked traditional Hungarian fayre - and plenty of it!! It was our first visit to Hungary but not our last.More
