After experiencing a very run down and dirty Springbok, and having spend several hours on the road, we arrived at this awesome location ...we parked under a tree and were greeted by weavers frantically busy with nest building and spring courting
This awesome private property has 3 thatch huts build into huge granite rocks....an exclusive retreat ,where the silence and majestic views are just what we needed

This is a most romantic and intimate experience, perfect for our 30 yr ANN celebration
The staff are efficient friendly ,and the food is simply world class

The walking trails are truly magnificent, and the flowers a joy

Our only observation to make this perfect place even better....have heated towel rails...I simply cannot bear a damp cold towel

Stayed: September 2013, traveled as a couple

We were lucky enough to have booked one of the 3 mountain suites(or Flinstone Boulders) for our 3 nights to see the flowers of Namaqualand. This was a fabulous experience. The suites are located about 1km from the main lodge. Each is fully equipped and so interesting in their design and layout.

The lodge has other rooms, which we were told were very good too. Service etc is high quality and although they do not seem to offer lunch, you can a sandwich or salad.

The lodge is on it's own grounds so although the area is full of flora spectacles, the lodge is situation in its own grounds (it was once a farm) and there are plenty of walks to see the flowers close up .

Room Tip: Go for a mountain suite (we believe they are building a further 8 so availability will become better...

My husband always refuses to sleep anywhere close to Springbok, but after car trouble on our first day of our Namibia trip, we were forced to look for accommodation from the info board in town. It looked a bit expensive, but included dinner and breakfast and we needed to rest after 4 hours at a garage! Drove through the most spectacular little pass - Spektakel Pas - into sundown. Arrived at Naries to a welcome face, booked into a french looking double room with lavender all over. Too beautiful. I had to take a bath in the romantic Victorian bath and when we sat down for dinner, we were blown away! 5 Star Food with 7 Star service! Felt like we were eating in a top restaurant in Cape Town. They even kept our 'padkos' cold in the fridge and gave us fresh, hot coffee in our flask for the trip ahead after a fantastic breakfast. Beautiful gardens with a darling dog very eager to show the way to the walking trails. I'm so glad our car trouble ended in finding this lovely place. Absolutely worth the bit of drive to get there. Thanks Naries!

Room Tip: We had a lovely double room with a little veranda for sundowners, but I would have loved to see the...

This farm has been converted into a cosy home from home. Different rooms though, but you live in a beautiful atmosphere. Owners very knowledgeable about flowers and very helpful. Beautiful landscape and on top good quality of meals. spent an extera day, just to walk on their property.

Room Tip: Take rooms 3 or five, they are the largest

This is a fantastic place to stay in the area of Springbok. A little bit out of the route on the Cape-Namibia route, but to us it wasn't a big deal. The place makes up for that!
It's clean, well taken care of, spacious and comfortable! Stayed here on our way to Namibia and when we needed a place to stay on our way back we didn't hesitate to book again!

Luxurious, homely and friendly - DBB at excellent value for money. Top restaurant quality dinner and hearty fresh breakfast. Spacious, clean rooms with all necessary amenities. This is a great base to enjoy flowers or for a stopover from Cape Town to Namibia. Highly recommended and we will be back.

Room Tip: We were in the main manor house

Our stay was in the honeymoon suite that is situated about 600m from the main buildings. The room is very stylish and has a minibar fridge with snacks at your disposal. The food is served at the restuarant and is fantastic. After your meal you can enjoy the breathtaking veiw of the milky way from your own patio overlooking the beautifull Namakwaland.

Room Tip: The mountain lodges is always nice if you want privacy.
