We have stayed at the Old Vicarage several times . The owners, Barbara and Grant always make you feel very welcome, it is an absolute privilege to stay at this beautiful B&B . The rooms are spotless , we normally stay in room 1 which has a 4 poster bed and fantastic views of the Wensleydale countryside.

We stayed just the one night at the Old Vicarage, but could certainly have stayed longer. What a lovely B&B! The bed was heavenly, and the room decor excellent. And the view of Wensleydale from our bedroom window was glorious! The staff were so friendly and helpful that we felt right at home, and the full English breakfast was divine. Highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking to get away from it all for a weekend.

The front of the building and the signage does not do this country B & B justice, it's only when you drive into the spacious rear car park that you realise how well looked after this building is. he owners greeted us cautiously as we had been booked into the Old Vicarage by management at the nearby Wensleydale Heifer followin our premature departure from there after unresolved complaints (see sepearte review). We were shown our excellent room and all the facilities and offered help with our bags. After recieving advise on local restaurants the owners booked us a table. We returned after our meal and slept comfortably in a generously proportioned room with 4 poster bed and woke to stunning views north over Wensleydale towards Redmire and Bolton Castle while the southern window showed the field barns and nearby fell. Breakfast was superb and the friendlieness as well as hints advice were what we've come to expect from the Dales

We were warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. The room we had was large, spotlessly clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were absolutely devine. We can thoroughly recommend this b & b to anyone and everyone.

We stayed for a two night weekend break and was made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived. Decor and rooms were immaculate throughout. We was shown to our room, with our bottle of wine waiting which was very welcome to start the weekend off. A very comfy!!! bed and a good nights sleep and we awoke to spectcular views, thankfully a clear and sunny day....Breakfast didnt let us down either, an array of cereals, fresh fruit salad, croissants,to name a few then two gorgeous (grilled) cooked breakfasts with toast, attentive service and always smiling...What a delight to stay in this beautiful bed and breakfast and we cant wait to revisit...

We stopped here for 2 nights and was extremely happy with our accomodation. The couple who own the old vicarage could not be more hospitable. Our room was very well presented clean and the jacuzzi bath was very welcome after a long day walking. Breakfast was supurb with anything you could wish for and more. We would not hesitate to go back in the future

Have stayed at a number of B&B's but this one is top quality. The rooms are large, comfortable and spotless. Our room had an enormous four poster which was lovely. The hosts were extremely welcoming and the breakfasts are wonderful. When booking we could have been put off by its roadside location, it's nothing to worry about, despite it's proximity to the road it is incredibly quiet and tranquil. When visiting you must go to the Hare & Hounds and the Wensleydale Heiffer, both are just a few mins walk away and well worth the effort.

Thanks again for a smashing 3 night break!
