“The Old Vicarage”

Just stayed at the above B&B, it was clean and comfortable, the couple are very friendly and if you need anything, all you have to do is ask and they will provide it, definately recommend it. There is a log and coal burning stove in the residents lounge, books, games and comfortable settees, the breakfast is good, if you like alot to eat and there are villages near by to visit, a couple of pubs for evening meals too.

Room Tip: Any room is lovely.

Just had five nights in one of the friendliest B&B's we have ever stayed in. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners Grant & Barbara. The attention to detail was meticulous, the house was spotlessly clean and ideally situated close by many attractions.

There was a lovely guest lounge with a roaring log burner, spacious breakfast/dining room and plenty of bedroom options. We had room four, which had a huge four poster bed and lovely views over the stunning countryside. Free Wi-fi with good connection.

Nearby attractions include Jervaulx abbey, The Wensleydale railway, Masham, Bolton Castle, and the waterfalls at Aysgarth and West Burton.

Prices were spot on, not too expensive, just very good value.

Highly recommended, we will definitely return. Try it, you will not regret it.

We stayed at the Old Vicarage for two nights it was bought for us as a Christmas present. Our room was really comfortable and great views from both windows. It was really clean and had everything we needed, even wine glasses and a corkscrew!
Barbara and Grant and their daughter were really friendly and would go out of there way to make your stay even better.
There was a wide range of choice for breakfast and was really tasty.

Room Tip: Room 4 has great views and a very comfortable four poster bed

My boyfriend and I stayed (sadly only for) 1 night as we were visiting Tennants, the hotel is within perfect distance for anyone visiting Tennants and the lovely surrounding villages. The hotel was perfect and inkeeping with the surroundings, we too had tea and cake on our arrival and it was lovely sitting infront of the log fire looking out onto the snowy hills outside - it was very romantic.
Our room was very clean and had everthing you would need, lots of choice for breakfast too - at night the local pubs were within easy walking distance and were lovely and quaint.
A perfect hotel with lovely friendly genuine hosts, where you can relax and forget your worries and just enjoy your break.
Lovely romantic setting perfect for couples :)

Our family recently stayed with Barbara and Grant and cannot recommend the Old Vicarage too highly. The house is immaculate, warm and welcoming. The hosts are thoughtful and provide everything you need. The house itself is well presented and is tastefully decorated and furnished reflecting the vernacular. Our breakfasts were lovely with the menu having variety to meet differing tastes and appetites. Try the Fox and Hounds up the road too; another warm welcoming place.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 4; four poster with a view of the dales, hard to beat!

We stayed here just after the new year as we were going to Tennants antique auction house in Leyburn. It's a beautiful house run by a really friendly couple, Barbara and Grant. We were welcomed with a good old fashioned pot of Yorkshire tea and a slice of wonderful Victoria spong cake. We slept in a four poster bed in a bedroom with views across the fields. The breakfast was excellent and we will definitely stay there again when we are antique hunting in the dales.
