“Gorgeous”
Reviewed April 24, 2013

Definitely spare ten minutes if you're in the area to have a look at this beautiful waterfall, whatever the weather you're in for a treat, it's so peaceful. The falls are signposted from the village (not that they need to be- you can hear the waterfall well before you see it!). There is a seating area nearby, and a footpath off to the left which will take you to fields with gorgeous views of Castle Bolton and Walden Dale, and can be followed round the back of the village for about 30 minutes.

“Best West Burton”
Reviewed April 19, 2013

Lovely village green, pub, unspoiled slightly off the beaten tourist track. Small but delicately formed falls. Makes for a great starting point for a walk- we walked to Aysgarth Falls on a round trip and had a superb lunch at the pub to finish. What more could you ask.

“Hidden gem”
Reviewed April 6, 2013

Situated just off the bottom end of the green in West Burton these falls are easily missed. This is a shame as they are very close to parking, easy access for disabled and very pretty. The village green is also a joy as are some of the rather quaint shops

“lovely waterfall in idyllic setting”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

It's simply a beautiful, peaceful, litter-free spot, with plenty of room to park but no compulsory charge. Come in April for the masses of primroses or in very cold weather for icicles.
