“Overpriced”
Reviewed February 21, 2014

Nice setting, wine could only be ordered from a bottle and not a carafe of house wine, and that was during lunch time, which is not good. Food was nice but not over the moon. Staff is friendly. Not rushing back after 3 times being there (dinner and lunch).

“great meal with friends & kids”
Reviewed July 16, 2013

Our friends who live in Jarnac took us here one night, and it was a great meal. The menu choices were great, and a la carte provided even more choices. The Children's menu was created on the spot based on what they wanted to eat! The food came out on beautiful plates with some really great garnishes. The service was well above average, and we felt welcomed and comfortable for the whole evening. Had some great white wine that was produced less than 1km from the restaurant as well.

“Probably best in area”
Reviewed July 6, 2013

Lunch is pleasant enough if you want touch of glamour in what is a surprisingly chic hotel for the area which is short of exciting places to eat. Food was good quality and served in very pleasant surroundings. We both enjoyed a well cooked and presented meal, nicely served by an attentive staff.
By far the most sophisticated establishment in the area it is worth a visit if expensive if you want to avail of the wine list.

“Stylish dining with delicious food.”
Reviewed June 30, 2013

This place looks great inside and out. A more contemporary style than most with a superb terrace. The food was fantastic. We shared 9 amazing oysters before taking the menu at €39. Highlights were the beef carpaccio and the filet de canette. Great wine list too. It lost a star due to the service which may have just been an off day (Sunday) but we had to chase drinks, wine and ask for the table to be cleared.
Will definitely be back when return in September.

“Nice restaurant”
Reviewed October 29, 2012 via mobile

I was here with a group of 10 and we chose the 38€ menu wich has 4 starters, 4 maincourses and 4 desserts to choose from. I chose snails, Veal and chocolatedome wich vanilla-mousse. The snails was not like I expected and not very exciting. the Veal was very good and so was the dessert. Service was very good and Even if they spoke little english they managed to explain the french menu. The wine was of course also very nice. The decor is clean and modern, but the LED's in the ceiling and in the bar is a little cheesy. They have a huge collection of different Cognac's. Very nice.
