“Who needs a stair master?”
Review of Cerro De La Cruz

Ranked #1 of 9 things to do in Jinotega
Attraction details
Reviewed July 23, 2013

Jinotega has a cross overlooking the town - 930 steps up. Just head to the back of the cemetery and the trail starts there. On an early Sunday AM (it was steamy by 8AM) there was plenty of foot traffic - mostly families heading up/down the hill. Be mindful of showing off your camera/gadgets because supposedly some tourists have been robbed - this is good advice anywhere.

There is no tourist guide, nor security there either. In its surroundings, there are many strangers and pandillas i will say that got tattoos and knives. It is not a good place. U should never take your girl or family there. Nicaragua's government still fighting against pandillas.
