Do try to get on one of the free tours, you learn a lot more than just wandering around. Of course the person running the tour really uses the time to get you excited about a tastings, which will of course cost some cash, but they are fun to do and can be done in quiet parts of the bar away from the coach tours.
The view across the valley to the mountains from the bar is wonderful.
