“Birthday Bash”
Reviewed August 18, 2014

Enjoyed an excellent meal in very convivial surroundings. All of our party thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service was second to none. In particular the staff were exceptionally attentive to our 30 month old granddaughter.

All in all a great experience.

“Lovely food and great service”
Reviewed August 15, 2014

The title says it all really - everything on the specials menu sounded gorgeous and the food we had was lovely. The service was great and very child friendly. Would definitely recommend visiting the Yew Tree Cafe if you're in the area.

“Lovely cafe, what a find”
Reviewed August 10, 2014

We stopped here on a long walk we were doing and it really was an ideal place for lunch. We had homemade watercress soup with a warm roll (delicious) followed by victoria sponge (Great British Bake Off eat your heart out!) Service was good and the staff were really obliging and will be definitely stop here again, it was lovely.

“Out the way but worth a visit”
Reviewed August 10, 2014 via mobile

We found the cafe on trip advisor and made a special visit one lunch time. On the whole the food was excellent however the goats chesse salad was dissapointing. The tart it's self was good but the salad was mainly lettuce leafs and very little else, for the cost itt should have been a little more intersting. Was told there was dressing on the salad but couldn't taste it. The rest of the meals in the family were superb.

We visited the Yew Tree after walking to Scalby along the cliffs from Scarborough, The tea and scones were very welcome after the lengthy walk The location is delightful in the centre of Scalby village. The staff were friendly and helpful. The scone was very good. making them myself I would give then 10/10. When were we through we walked across the road and took the bus back into Scarborough.....great!
