For me the staff really made this hotel for me as they created a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hotel itself is excellently positioned, very clean and a good standard. Not really the style of shiny fittings or ultra modern but classic and cosy.
The suprise for me was the quality of the food - very tasty indeed, and I would recommend eating here if on a B&B tariff only as we were. For after dinner coffees you have to go down to the bar on the ground floor, but this is a nice relaxing atmosphere to have an accompanying digestive too.
The spa was nice but at the times we used it did get rather busy. The main problem was in the pool and jacuzzi when there were a lot of childrne playing so it made it quite difficult to swim or relax without being splashed - didn't bother me particualrly but worth being aware of.
If you are there on a Saturday take advantage of the welcome drinks reception and nibbles - we had a glass of prosecco - lovely!
I would definately return here.More
