Located right on top of naamche bazaar is, Panorama Lodge. Firstly and most importantly, people lodging there have themselves a privilege of a splendid view of the snow capped mountains. The rooms, neat and tidy, are cozy and complete with an attached bathroom having hot shower! The food is delicious, especially their potato pancakes with the cheese sauce, you'll be craving it for the next ten days. The lodge is done up beautifully, having an oriental ambiance, run by a warm and welcoming Sherpa family who serve with great hospitality, not to forget 'Tsering', the naughty little baby boy who kept the guests amused all through their stay with his cute shenanigans. At the end I'd just like to say, the stay at the lodge was a memorable experience and one of the highlights of my expedition.

Staying at Panaroma Lodge was a great experience. It's one of the hotels located at the top of Naache Baazar which means we got the best of views. The sunrise on the mountains was pretty amazing and we got from our terrace and the 360 panorama view was just 10 mins away from the hotel. The food was just very traditional and tasty and i tried the traditional sherpa potato pancake and it was delicious..Everyone in the hotel was very hospitable, the managers and the owners..

Room Tip: this hotel had a electric bed warmer which helped alot because its cold up there and hot water which Panaroma lodge had plenty...

The Panorama Lodge on the top of Namche Bazzar is a great place to stay. The private rooms are nice and clean. The are comfortable and the water in the attached bath is warm to hot!!!!! The owners take personal pride in running the Hotel. The food is good and safe. Their daughter is a nurse and can help if you have problems with the altitude or any other illness.

This is not a cheap nepali guesthouse but one of the first upscale Lodges in the area. They were one of the first to have attached bath with running hot and cold water. It is a great place to stay if you want a home away from home with people who care about your wellbeing. The price is very reasonable for what you get in Namche Bazzar.

Room Tip: There are two types of rooms available. The attached bath with meals are a great deal but not cheap. I recommend this option if you can afford $30/day inclusive of meals.

If you're looking for the essence of the Khumbu, - beautiful scenery, tidy, cozy accommodations, warmed by efficient, thoughtful service, laced with fabulous food and soaked in luxurious ambiance - all in keeping with the Buddhist cheer, peace endemic to the region - then I'd say Panorama is for you. The hosts and the staff here exude kindness yet never miss a step of efficiency in meeting the traveller's needs. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the nights are quiet (being just above the town's busy centre) the beds warm and fresh (the electric blankets in the deluxe spoil the happy wanderer). The views from the tea room are unparalleled - while you sip tea, or coif a beer eat the hot, delicious preparations from the kitchen. Costs are standard to most other paces we stayed or knew of, but the quality and pride of ownership are what made Panorama stand out. I'd spend days here if I could basking in this place - when the mountains (or "home") call you can always come back...

Room Tip: Deluxe rooms when you're tired or seeking that bit extra (private bathroom and electric bed warmers). If you're on a speed trip the standard rooms when I peaked were clean, tidy comfy. The Lodge is located just above town - the quiet location as a result yet with easy access to "downtown" seemed to offer the ideal location.

Panorama Lodge is a few more steps up the trail in Namche, but the extra steps pay off in more ways than one. You'll need the acclimatization anyway. Situated above the main town the views are outstanding - blue pine and juniper plantations, colourful buildings and mountains. The dining lounge lovely, wonderfully decorated in Sherpa carpets, brass, and cushions. A centrally located stove keeps the heat on in late season. The food is some of the best you'll eat on the trek. Prices are modest and in keeping with every other lodge in the Khumbu. The Dal Baht with Chicken is simply outstanding, no weary trekker, porter or guide will go away hungry. Stay long enough to meet the gracious family and their wonderful children and grandchildren. Don't hesitate to stay.

Room Tip: gosh, Sherap has both deluxe and standard rooms. We stayed in their standard room (300 rupees) and found it perfect for what we needed. The Tibetan blankets so cool, thick and comfy.
