Very good for the price and staff very friendly.. awesome food and the spa was 1st class.. fun activities at the water sports.
Close to Ibrahim Nasir international airport, 10 min ride by speed boat and a warm welcome by staff. Would choose to stay for the next trip too.

Ive spent 3 days in this resort knowing that is new so I didn't have high expectations. The place is still under construction but wasn't noisy or disturbing. The food doesn't have much variety but it was good, specially the local dishes. It's a good place to relax if you don't want to spend too much. Staff was friendly and always around to help.

When I stayed in September 2016, Malahini was still being built with areas screened off by fences made from coconut fronds. In contrast to this natural touch were white cement walls forming a narrow open-to-the-sky corridor to the room block. The ground floor rooms in this block, between the restaurant and the bar, are excellent: spacious with a day bed as well as a kingsize one; décor of muted tones. Fast free Wifi. There was a minibar (some drinks cheaper there than in the bar) and a safe on the floor of the clothes closet but there were no drawers nor a mirror. There was a kettle and two small bottles of water plus tea bags, coffee sachets. A hairdryer was supplied on request. Bright bathroom with fierce shower; lots of towels including beach towels.

The variety of food on the buffet for breakfast and dinner was disappointing (chicken bacon, chicken sausages, baked beans) although I was overjoyed to find smoked salmon on several days to enjoy with scrambled eggs (but I had to tell the chef not to overcook the eggs; overcooking of fish and meat at dinner seemed the chefs’ speciality too.) Swimming is easy by the jetty with lots of watersports. The resort is close to Male’ and the airport. Amazing value for basic luxury, but don’t expect fine cuisine.

Room Tip: 301 to 309 are spacious ground floor rooms in a single block with veranda access to garden and beach, between restaurant & bar

The visit to Malahini brought back such fond memories spent on the picnic island before it became Malahini Kuda Bandos. However, the place still got its charm and the stay was both comfortable and enjoyable. The rooms were both modern and clean. The food and the choices at the restaurant was good but needs improvement on the taste. the only set back was that we lost some time during the check-in as it took a long time than expected. Overall highly recommend the place if you are traveling on a budget and with family. The staff are friendly and helpful. Kuda Bandos is certainly a gem and you never want to leave the beautiful beach :)
