The beauty of the place is unparalled. Very peaceful and refreshing. Wish had more time to explore the nearby forest.

On the Banks of Mandakini River in Chitrakoot, there is a huge rock- looking like a white crystal roack. It is about 1 Kilometer away from Janaki-kund. It is said that Sri Ram and Janaki Ji used to take rest here. They were frequently visiting Sati Anusuya and Atri Rishi Ashram and on the way were use to take rest here on this rock. The rock bears the foot prints of Sri Ram, Sita Ji.

There are many other attractions in Chitrakoot- a pious city. During winters is best to visit. The city in the State of Ugttarpradesh is well connected by rail and road.

This picturesque spot is marked by two immense rocks. It is believed to be the place where Lord Rama and Sita feasted their eyes on the beauty of Chitrakoot. The scenic beauty of this densely forested area is sure to overwhelm you. This pictorial location on the left banks of Mandkini River holds a funny but lovable story about the divine concern that Ram has got towards Sita. It says that Ram had taken the eye of crow (Jayant the son of Lord Inder) who had pecked the feet of Sita devi while they were relaxing here at Sphatic Shila.

“SPIRITUALITY WITH ADVENTURE.”

It is located by the MANDAKINI RIVER..The stone is soft as talc stone, the story goes that the big stone made it soft as silk in order to give LORD RAMA the silk like feeling,WHEN HE NEEDED REST..it is located on a very natural pleasant site.it is green everywhere and CHITRAKOOT itself is so beautiful ,full of spiritual places associated with lord Rama,Sita and lakshaman.Nearby is JANKIKUND which was the bathing place of GODDESS SITA,It is a beautiful place in the lap of nature.
Plan a trip for 5/6 days and you will come recharged as this place is truly in the natural environment and very unique as the crowd is very less.Live in govt.guest house as there is no other good hotels.Best time NOV-FEB.The place is having at-least 10 attractions.few as far as 1 hrs.but worth going.BEWARE OF MONKEYS.Do take the boat ride in the madakini river during evening AARTI OF THE RIVER.
