Family had a great time at this beach. So clean and the kids loved the shallow water and sand bars.

Recommend you bring food and drinks as there is nothing in the area.

Free parking is also a bonus!

This beach is by far my favorite in the area. I used to go here before it became a tourist attraction and thankfully even though there is now a boardwalk that you can walk along (not quite as long now due to storms taking part of it out) and it is now a tourist attraction with the Eco-Centre, you can always find solitude and the Centre has done a great job preserving the Dune. Of note is the ample parking that is still free of charge. Having done a lot of travelling free parking is a huge relief !!!

I have visited most beaches in P.E.I., N.B., and N.S. and this is the by far the nicest. This 12 kilometre beach was uncrowded, very clean, with a huge walk out area into the beautifully warm waters of the Northumberland Strait. The boardwalk, although damaged, extended well into the dune system with shelters to provide shade when needed. The facilities and displays are professionally maintained with changing rooms, bike park, and there is even a spot to wash the sand off your feet before you leave for your car. Additionally, there is a secluded bike trail through the forest that will take you back to the town of Bouctouche (15-20 km). Not to be forgotten there is a facility to board your dog or cat while you visit the beach as no pets are allowed on the beach. I cannot say enough about this area, but my family will be back again.

Not many people - quite. Very nice neat sand. We went to see (walk) the board walk, but we did not expect a nice beach and dunes. There is no user fee or parking fee.
It is a must see place in New Brunswick. We enjoyed lot. There are few picnic tables too.
It is a great palce to be there. DONOT MISS IT.

It's really 4.5 stars, and would be 5 but they have lost more than 50% of the boardwalk as a result of storm damage, making more of the dune inaccessible for a good part of the year, however it's still worth a visit. There's a nice sandy beach, and stunning views, the information centre is good (only open in the summer), and it's free!
