We spent two nights here
Location is definitely rural. Its approximately 20 minute drive on paved road to Panguapulli. Its located in shore of Lake Rinamapu and has excellent views of the lake and surrounding area. Great grounds.
Hotel has a lodge feel..lots of wood and a great deal of atmosphere. Large, comfortable sitting are with huge fireplace and large dining area. We had room 4 ..wood panelled but bright due to number of windows. Comfortable bed and lots of storage space and several chairs. Large bathroom with lots of hot water. All spotless.
We felt it was too far to drive to Panguapulli for dinner so we ate at the hotel and were very pleased. Speciality is trout and the chef did a great job on this delicate fish. Other options included beef, pork chops and chicken. Prices were very reasonable and service was warm and friendly. Breakfast is included and it was large continental style with scrambled eggs available as well.
Wifi is available at no cost but you need to ask owner Catalina to start it up as its not on continously.
Catalina was a treat...she has very good English and an excellent knowledge of what to see in the area. We had several interesting talks with her in front of the large fireplace. The staff have very limited english but lots and lots of smiles and we never had any problems with language.
There is also a fully equipped bar ..pisco sours were excellent and there is an outside sitting area.
Rinimapu has a comfortable, relaxing feel to it. Reasonable priced, it is a good value.
Would absolutely stay there again and recommend it highly. If you go say hello to Paco for us ( Catalinas pet goat )
