we stayed 1 night in a standard double room with own bathroom

+ looks nice from outside
+ clean rooms with nice bath
+ free parking
+ free wifi

what could be improved in our view:
- reception should be more friendly and professionel!
- repair the lock in room 104 and how can you close the door from inside with no light? (for the light you have to put the card of the key, which you need to close, in a slot)
- make sure that breakfast is served on time (at 7 nobody was around and we asked explicitly the day before)
- make sure that hot water is available at all times
- repair the tv in room 104 (does not work at all)
- considering the quality and the understanding of service you should lower the prices or improve...

our conclusion: not recommended, but you will not find anything better in belen. so try to not to stop in belen. we would not stay here again

After a very long drive along Ruta 40 we arrived in Belen, there really are no other options in the area and the hotel appears to rely on this. Whilst its clean it does need some work and is looking quite shabby in parts, I am sure it was very nice when it initially opened but now it just looks tired and our room was quite depressing.
The bathrooms are shocking for noise, you can hear absolutely everything from the room next door.
We didn't eat in the restaurant, it was huge, empty and brightly lit, it just didn't look inviting. Breakfast is taken in another barn of a room that has pool tables in, again not very inviting.
The hotel is in a great, central location and the staff were friendly and welcoming, if money was spent upgrading the rooms it could be very good but as it stands its an instantly forgettable stop along Ruta 40.

As mentioned else, the design of the hotel is interesting and nicely done, much better than was otherwise expected in the region. The room was comfortable and clean - perhaps some extra pillows or cushions for the bed wouldn't go astray, but that is a small thing.

We really liked the addition of the museum to the hotel, although the displays were not yet completed (no tags explaining each piece) and one suspects that might remain the case for the forseeable future.

We had dinner in the restaurant and were pleased with the food, which was cooked as we requested and was well presented. Service was perhaps a little slow, due to there being only one waitress, and she disappeared from time to time. Perhaps she was also helping out in the kitchen?

One downside - from our bathroom, you could clearly hear everything going on in the adjoining bathroom, and obviously vice versa...

Breakfast was a bit minimalist and required a trip to one of the coffee shops on the plaza.

Overall, it was pretty reasonable and could show the way for some of the other hotels in the region.

We were not particularly interested in the city of Belen but it was a natural stopover on our tour on ruta 40 and it proved to be the best choice we had. The place is somehow a mixture of regional museum and hotel and although it only features modest standards it is reasonably clean and really unique with all the exhibits.
Positive are free parking, free WiFi. air-conditioning and some nice design gimmicks. The dinner we had was ok, local wines at reasonable prices. Breakfast was according to local standards, i.e. quiet poor if compared to international standards. No elevator.
All in all a fair deal if you do not expect luxury or multilingual staff.

This hotel is a centre of tourist requirements where little else exists. Belen is a town on ruta 40, that is the Argentinian home of the Poncho, it also sits nicely as a stopping off point on route north or south when driving ruta 40.
The town has all the facilities needed - petrol, shops, restaurants and the hotel provides the rest - comfortable rooms, air conditioning, hot showers, cable tv, broadband(just)/wi-fi. It also does this with a bit of style.
Rooms are small but have lovely llama spreads on the beds, some nice pieces of modern furniture, lovely wooden floors and rock lined (yes- really) bathrooms with walk in showers.
After a hard days drive reaching this hotel is a mighty relief.
Please note that for reasons unknown they seem to ignore all email enquiries (spanish and english), but will take a booking over the 'phone, on arrival at the hotel you will find the staff to be the model of kindness and helpfulness, so the email business is a bit of a mystery.
