It was my first visit to Martinique, and I stayed there for three nights. I can hardly imagine a more priceworthy place to stay if you want to experience the historical city of Saint-Pièrre. The view over the sea and the sunset were fabulous.

Room Tip: I recommend a room with view over the Caribbean Sea.

Pleasant duo are the owners from Aix en Provence who came out to Martinique 4 years ago and built this little hotel. Lovely rooms, with fridges, and ensuite bathrooms,no lift.Beautiful sea views, and is on the beach. Right in the centre of town, but did not experience noise from outside. Good airconditioning. They would also put an extra bed in the room for one older child, for extra euros. But dont want young children. Good French breakfast with croissants, and pain au chocolate, and lovely jams, yogurt, and fresh fruit salad.

Recommended, but practice your french, as the owners do not speak alot of Engish - but enough to make your stay comfortable... few people speak alot of english here in Martinique - it seems!

Room Tip: Spend the extra for a sea view..can watch the finishing boats though the window as the sum comes up...

(critique en français en bas)
This wonderful little hotel offers quality where it counts. The intimacy and casual comfort of a b&b is combined with the discreet luxury common to the world’s best hotels. From the spa-style bathroom to the very comfortable bedroom furniture crafted of local wood to the balcony view, the proprietors have ensured that every aspect of your stay here will contribute to a restorative, calm atmosphere.

We had a first (American second) floor sea-view room. It was extremely quiet~ we didn’t even know there were other guests at the hotel until we saw them at breakfast or on the stairs. We never heard any noise from other rooms or the street. It featured a little balcony with table and chairs.

We had an exquisite but reasonably priced menu dinner in the small hotel restaurant: a creative take on fresh local fare. I’ll always remember the fish in puff pastry made with a delectable fish stock-apparently an original recipe. The bottle of rosé that accompanied the meal was delicious and surprisingly inexpensive. The breakfasts, which are included, were generous, fresh, and delicious: newly baked croissants and baguettes, a salad of local fruits that changed a little each day, yogurt, and artisanal jams.

I enjoyed the high-quality soaps, shampoos, and massage oils in the bathroom. Wonderful beaches—including a wild beach in the next village over—are within 15 minutes’ drive in both directions. There is also plenty of beach to walk to.

The air-conditioning worked quietly and well. Free wireless is available in the restaurant and lounge area. Free Internet access in the rooms is via Ethernet.

The proprietors are the perfect hosts: one feels like an enjoyed houseguest, yet your privacy is respected. They are friendly, relaxed, and absolutely dedicated to make your visit as comfortable as possible.

Room Tip: Request a sea-view room.

We stayed here 5 nights. The owners here will do their best to make your stay a pleasant one. The room was very comfortable and the bed was great. The AC worked well and we never heard our neighbors. The bathroom was not well lit especially at night. Breakfast was included in the room rate and brought to our room each morning. We only ate in the restaurant one night but it was very nice and they did accommodate our vegetarian requests! If going to this part of Martinique this is the place to stay. The market on Saturday was lively and fun. The town of St Pierre is sleepy fishing village with only a few restaurants. The beaches are black sand and our favorite was Carbret with nice restaurant for lunch at Stella Marine

The owners were extremely friendly and we were made to feel really welcome. The room was exceptionally clean and very well appointed. Lots of lovely touches including the variety of fruits and preserves for breakfast! Its in a great location for exploring the north of the island and easy to find.
