Even in Africa, they do not let you pet tigers, lions, brush and bottle feed them. It is scary as ther is nothing between you and the big cats, but they keep them well feed and rotate some of them. The lines do take atleast an hour to wait, but it is such a unique experience that it is worth it.

If you are in Buenos Aires, you simply have to go to Lujan zoo for a day! It is a different way to raise the animals and take care of them, they live with different species (for instance tigers with dogs) and they are trained so you can enter the cages and touch them. The fee for foreigners is 150 pesos, but it is well worth it, there is also the possibity to camp inside the zoo or grill for an extra fee. Be sure to go with someone to take many photos because it´s quite expensive to buy them after from there.

This is an amazing experience seeing and interacting with the zoo animals. Petting the lions and tigers, feeding a bear and elephants, riding a camel. It is an experience well worth the cab ride to the Lujan Zoo. While you are in the area be sure to visit the Basilica located a few miles away in the town of Lujan.

This zoo is amazing! You get up close and personal with wild animals that you cannot do anywhere else! Lions and tigers and bears.. oh my!
I felt very safe when I was in the cages with the animals.. the only downside is that barely any of the workers spoke English so I had to try to figure out directions and read signs on my own. Go for more than 3 hours, as there are long lineups to see the more popular animals (such as the lion).

For anyone who wants a once in a lifetime experience, this is the excursion for you! One of the best things I have done on a business trip away from home.

It looks like a farm, but instead of chickens and pigs, they have tigers, lions, pumas and bears. Avoid it if it is raining, and also the day after heavy rain, there is mood everywhere.
I'll rank it as 4 stars mainly because it is a unique experience, you cannot be disappointed since the zoo itself cannot be compared to other traditional zoos.
