“Not worth of your money!!”
Reviewed April 11, 2014 via mobile

The place itself is difficult to find. The hotel entrance is not visible on the main street. No hotel signs on the road. Limited parking area. Booked 3 executive rooms on this hotel. First 2 rooms has 2 adults each but the last 1 has 2 + 1 extra adult that I paid for but no extra bed was provided for the extra adult. The rooms are disgusting!!! Cracked walls everywhere, wall paints are coming off, furnitures are old and damaged, shower is leaking, duvets on bed are badly stained and personal ref is rusty. The manager on that day is not available on site to talk to. Loads of flies in the restaurant. The family experience was terrible. Not worth of the money we paid (12,960 pesos) for a night. Never again to book this hotel. Not so recommended.

We booked based on family recommendation who said it was the ONLY DECENT place in the area. On arrival we were greeted by miserable reception staff. Building presentation and 5th floor newly renovated rooms up to basic western standard although quiet small. Bell staff and guard were quiet friendly. Breakfast wasn't too bad but food was cold which is common here. Our stay was not very enjoyable due to majority of staff sending out negative vibes. They were very unhelpful and frankly rude. We had to push for any information in regards to general information about the area especially transport to local malls and landmarks. I sum up to very poor management and no competition in the area.

When we arrived at the hotel,,,.we were disillusioned by the well presented lobby and expected our room to be as well kept....the bellboy escorted us to our room and that's when our frustration began. The room was dark and old-fashioned, had no fridge nor vault/safe. The bathroom is old and needs some refurbishing...shower curtain is passe and the tiles could do with a bit of scrubbing..one thing good about the hotel is the assistance provided by the front desk clerk - they were extremely helpful and so are the room service staff although we suggest trainings on "pro active" customer care such as knowing customer needs would be the next step up. For instance, kitchen menu should be updated and should clearly show what they can serve the guests. For instance, in the mornng we ordered omelette with tomatoes, onion and bacon...came back to us without tomatoes and got rejected..lunchtime we ordered salad with grilled chicken and we could not believe that tomatoes were still unavailable. Got a bottle of wine for dinner as it is a BYO and waiter told us they did not have a cork screw. Waiters should also be trained to serve food warm, for instance bacon and egg together on a plate with toast all served warm. We moved to a hotel which is about 3 or 4 kms away - a bit more pricey again but up to expectations.

When ever I have overnight work to do in the south, I always stay in this hotel.
Their rooms are average. Soom rooms are aging but they also have some new rooms.
They have complete amenities but comfort room is quite small.
Breakfast is good, their daing na bangus is my favorite, they have extensive choices in the breakfast buffet.

Pros: near sta. Rosa business district
Cons: area is traffic prone specially at night

Room Tip: when you book a room, request for their new rooms

There are not very many options in the area and that shows. The hotel is ok. It is clean but slightly overpriced. The staff was also ok, but not too interested in customer service. Don't think about having a beer in the bar... I went there but turned around at the door. There were maybe three or four people in there with music on so loudly it was ridiculous! Next time, I will try one of the other hotels in Sta Rosa.

The hotel itself is clean, modern & the staff reasonably helpful.

BUT (and its a BIG BUT!) the hotel bar which is next to the dining room plays music SO LOUD its hard to think in there. And right now I am on the third floor and the my room is throbbing to the heavy disco beats at midnight. It's like being at a night club.

I went down to ask them about the noise and front desk seemed really uninterested in doing anything about it.

Not the ideal place for a restful night, or a quite meal.

No gym & very few sockets in the rooms.

I was lurking online to find a best deal for an Enchanted Kingdom package and found El Cielito.

During the time when we were there, the renovation was still on going so it was noisy and untidy outside. You see people cleaning mapping and sweeping most of the time. The lift wasn't working too due to renovation. I think this is the only downside during our stay.

It was really great staying there though, the staffs are very nice and accommodation. Rooms are quite spacious, with several towels and toiletries were also provided. Hot shower didn't work though. Large cabinets were also useful which keeps the room tidy since you have a place to put all your luggage and other things. Fridge is available but its empty. Vans that sends you and picks you up at Enchanted Kingdom are also in good condition. Buffet for breakfast serves good meals and eat as much as you want. I will definitely want to stay here again.
