What a wonderful experience. This beech forest is a must see if you are in the area of Soriano Nel Cimino. To picnic or just wander. Fantastco

A beautiful place to visit - hills, woods , boulders. It was a pleasant respite from the heat in the cool, shady trees. Our teenage daughters also enjoyed climbing the boulders.
There are signposted routes , a cafe and parking.

Drive up the mountain (extinct volcano) and walk to the top from the car park. You will probably have the place to yourselves on weekdays. Apart from birdsong, there is peace, and in Spring carpets of flowers.
