Having just returned from staying at the Mariposa I was interested to read other travellers reviews. I feel like I was staying in a different hotel. Some have commented on 'the warm sea breeze drifting into your room' (it's an inland hotel - no sea breeze for 10 miles!!!) and the FRESH breakfast consisted of fresh fruit and processed meat and cheese!!! The swimming pool was actually a small plunge pool (no breast stroke here).
Location was very pretty and the property was lovely and traditional. The hosts were very nice.

Room tip: Top floor room has many many windy steps to get to it.

This is an excellent hotel. So relaxed and friendly.

Joseph was so helpfull without even being asked. Furnishing us with maps of Malta and reccomendations of what to see and do and were to avoid.
He was helpfull with our car hire and when we wanted to extend it he sorted it for us with no fuss.

The breakfast was very good. A continental breakfast with options for hot food too. Well presented and there was no rush to get out and on with the day. There is a small plunge pool. However i didnt use it. There is a lovely roof terrace to sit and relax with a glass of wine or a book. No troubles and not noisey either.
I reckon if we wanted to check out late that would have been no problem.

The room was air conditioned and en suite. Simple and elegant!

My wife and I were on honeymoon the week we were here. We were given a complimentary bottle of wine too which was most lovely.

I dont know if this hotel is suited to a family as non of the other guests were a family.

If your staying in Malta you must consider this place.

Room tip: This is a bed and breakfast small hotel. There is no bar but that is not a problem!

Excellent quality of boutique B&B accommodation. Friendly and very helpful and informative hosts. Hired a car for one day through the owner, Jozef - very efficient and reasonable cost. Stayed for three nights after a week in Valletta. Breakfast superb. Great omelette from Peter.

Loggia Mariposa is in a pretty little side street in the lovely town of Naxxar. The owner has lovingly converted three old houses into one, maintaining the stonework and some stunning features. Jozef, the owner is the ultimate host as is Peter who served us breakfast every morning. Both were always available with help and advice. I loved this place.

Room tip: Rooms on the back of the house are likely to be a little quieter.

Sitting here in dappled sunshine, beside a small, but lovely plunge pool you are a million miles from daily routine...a perfect holiday destination. Hosts Joseph and Peter are helpful and genuine, wanting you to enjoy your holiday in Malta your way, if it's to visit every historic city or simply chill by their pool, or on their rooftop terrace taking in the rooftops of Nazzar, they will help you make your time in Malta perfect...Breakfast is a choice of fresh, home made produce, Jams and marmalade, yogurt with ripe peaches, topped with granola my favourite..choices of cheese and meats, and eggs are always offered...perfect start to a sunny day. Nazzar is pretty, with small passageways and an impressive church overseeing the town in Victory square.. We ate in Cellini's in the shadow of the church, excellent prawns in tempura batter, mouthwatering! And in La Stringi, huge Steak perfectly cooked, both recommended by Joseph and when we mentioned this we were given complimentary extras...We experienced true Malta in Nazzar, listening to someone practising the piano in through our open window one evening was lovely and restful...as we sat drinking our €1.60 G&T from the Nazzar Lions FC outside seating we are very happy with our choice :-)
