Lists is a bit of a trek for us but we were very well rewarded with a special evening to celebrate my husbands 60th. How Janie cooked all those individual meals on one small cooker I just don't know! She could take the easy way out and give everyone the same veg but she doesn't. The restaurant manages to combine food of a very high standard in the "posh" bracket with an atmosphere that is friendly, relaxed and not in any way intimidating. The outstanding course was the pudding which was chocolate marquis, crunchy first bite melting into soft truffle like gorgeousness! Thanks for a wonderful evening made even better by the professional, just right attention of Malcolm, the waiter. How do you keep going up and down those stairs! The building is quaint old English with plenty of almost here! Can't wait to go back! See you soon I hope!
