This Park is fantastic for a family holiday - we really didn't want to leave. it has so much to offer everyone - a great resort pool (plenty of shade and sun lounges), huge spa, on-site restaurant that serves delicious food, kiosk, playground, golf course, bowling green, 2 jumping pillows, go-karts, tractor rides, playing fields (for cricket, soccer, tennis, basketball, a bmx track - take your bikes or hire them there). Also a great Activities Room run by a wonderful lady Joan with a well planned timetable of daily activities - the kids painted boomerangs, sun catchers, did sand art etc (1/2 price for NRMA members). Night time they had a Disco, Bingo, Movie Nights, Laser Tag. So you can have a day of non-stop activities, or some relaxing downtime or a bit of both! We stayed in a Gumnut Villa which are great for families; in middle of park, but secluded, surrounded by trees and bushes. Campers we spoke to were very happy also; apparently the biggest sites around. Kangaroos and wildlife roam the park; ducks come up to your door; kids love it. A short walk to the beautiful, patrolled beach. The park is located 20 mins from Coffs, but we loved that you didnt really need to leave once there. (Supermarket and cafes 5 mins away at Woolgoolga) Our children loved the place and met lots of friends. They couldn't wait for each morning to plan what they were going to do for the day. It was a wonderful, fun filled, also relaxing and laid back holiday. Everyone just walks around so happy and having fun. Thankyou to all the friendly and helpful staff.. we will definitely be back! Loved it!

We stayed at a powered camping site in a camper trailer.
Best things - Campers are surrounded by wildlife: kangaroos and all manner of birds, well-kept grounds, large pool and spa area with ample shade and chairs/sun lounges. Clean amenities. Excellent summer activities program for kids, including many free things to do. Quiet during the day. Reasonable price. Free wi-fi to keep in touch with family at home. Easy to relax!!
Downside - The basic camp kitchen caters for the non-powered sites and is located accordingly. We needed to drive to the camp kitchen each evening because it was too far to carry our food, cooking gear, dishes and washing up gear. (Would be nice to have a camp kitchen in the powered area too - not everyone who camps in this area travels with an equipped kitchen.)
Quite noisy at night - trucks and highway traffic. Cafe is pricey for families.

Hello and thank you for leaving a review in regards to your stay with us at Darlington Beach Holiday Park. We appreciate both positive and negative feedback as we can use it to keep on improving the park for our future guests. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the majority of our park facilities during your time with us.
With regards to the camp kitchen, while it is located within the unpowered area of the park, there are a number of powered sites in fairly close proximity to the kitchen. Please do not hesitate to request a site closer to the kitchen next time you choose to visit us and we will do our best to accommodate you closer to this facility.
With regards to the highway noise, the upgrade of the Pacific Highway sees a speed zone change directly outside of the Park, and as trucks use their exhaust breaks to slow down, the tranquility of the Park is definitely disturbed. As the upgrade will unquestionably increase road safety and provide a more efficient passageway, we believe the minor and temporary noise disturbance to the Park is a small price to pay. When the road works progress further along the highway, the Park will be restored to its usual serene and peaceful state.
Thank you again for your feedback and we hope that you decide to stay with us again in the near future.

We spent 2 night in Plantation Villa on Dec 2013. It was a great stay in a nice park. The kids spent nice time in the swimming pool and jumping pillow. The only problem is that, the park is far away from Coffs Harbour.

We like it and we recommend this park.

This is the most awesome caravan , cabin park we have been to.
We had a fantastic Gumnut cabin, booked a garden Vila but got free upgrade.
All the activities were spot on. Plenty of wildlife , lorikeets and kangaroos.
We will be back

What a magic place , totally silent except for bird calls. Not really a cottage but a simple well equipped and beautiful space hanging off Mt Christopherson and overlooking the most beautiful scenery. this was not what I expected. I thought "log cabin". No ,it is modern clean and great coffee supplied. Surrounded by Conservation park. An echidna ambled by below us as we ate breakfast on the deck. Can't recommend more highly. There is a larger retreat which would be great for yoga and artist groups too. We are from South Australia and loved the rain Forrest.

Room Tip: Off the beaten track on bendy road but well worth it for the solitude.

We stayed here for one night with our two young kids and really loved the swimming pool with water slides and giant jumping pillows. We also loved all the wildlife and the natural surrounds of the park. The cabin we stayed in was very modern and very large. Just perfect for a family of four.

Myself and family stayed for 7 nights recently and had a wonderful time, facilities were good, could not speak highly enough of the staff, they were so helpful and approachable, nothing was to hard for them, especially as we along with other park stayers were affected by the hail storm that hit on the Saturday afternoon, staff were out and about surveying damage and making sure everyone and thing were safe. We stayed in one of your cabins, there were only 2 things that I would like to bring to your attention, there are no coffee tables in the cabins so ended up using the bench chair from the large table as a coffee table and the mattress was way to soft for me and was always awake at 4am due to a sore back, apart from that, we will continue to travel from Victoria to Darlo, keep up the great work.
