“SSshhhh don't tell anyone!”

Amri's is owned and run by Rita and her family and is set directly onto Sunset Beach. It is a perfect setting, especially at 5.30ish when the sun goes down. The food is excellent - especially the beef chilli fry (but keep that to yourself, the less people who know the better!). We ate there most days, either breakfast, lunch or dinner ( 2 out of 3 some days!). Rita is so welcoming and obliging and if you want something special, such as a huge lobster, she will provide with a day's notice. The prices are average for the location, but it is the setting that's exquisite. She also has sunbeds on the beach and to the side of the shack for hire (free if you spend more than 500 r/s in the shack). I love this little gem and can't wait to visit Rita again in 2013.

“Perfect place - no loud music, right on beach”

Good food, with daily specials which are worth trying. We were there mainly during the day, but also stayed for dinner one night. It's a shack not a posh restaurant, but all served up with a smile from Rita. Loved it.

“Breakfast on the beach, followed by lunch, don't mind if I do,”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 23, 2012

This is ,a little shack restaurant at Sunsetbeach majorda, Goa. The menu isn't as extensive as some others, but nor is it so busy. Set back from the beach there are sunbeds available with no minimum spend which is unusual and you are welcome to stay all dayand just have cold drinks brought to you either on the beach, at a table or on the several beds adjacent to the cafe under a canopy. Rita - the'Ri' half of the name is a friendly mum who remembers you from year to year, will keep your sunbed cover for you - yes even until you return next year. Freshly made lassi, fruit juices and grilled fish - whatever has been caught on the beach thatday, as well as chicken dishes and ( for a real treat ) tea and toast.. Rita has a firm no hawkers policy so you can sunbathe swim and relax without having to fight of the beach traders. The sun seems to set directly in front of this little bit of paradise. There is a book exchange shelf - always useful and a friendly smile from Rita, her husband and the kids.
