What a wonderful surprise to find this beautiful restaurant in the town of Scopello (ie, not in Trapani as the title mistakenly states) after taking a hike in the Riserva Naturale dello Zingaro. The food was outstanding; the cook used all locally sourced ingredients prepared in a refined way that never betrayed the essential simplicity of their origins. The wines were equally good, all small, local batches that were perfectly paired to the food; the owners were full of suggestions, and even offered us things to try. The service was warm and incredibly hospitable. The prices are very reasonable. And to boot, the place has a lovely view. We really, really enjoyed our meal here, and we look forward to returning to dining outside on the terrace in warmer weather!
