We called in on the way home from visiting family in Donaghdee last Sunday and thought the food was tasty and good value. Unfortunately they don't take cards for payment and given that it was a miserable evening we just opted for main courses and a dessert to share rather than walking up to the bank machine!

There was plenty of choice on the menu with lots of fish dishes, most around £10. The table beside us got starters and they looked delicious!

It was slightly lacking in atmosphere (but there were only 3 tables eating at the time we were there).

I believe it is also BYO with £3 corkage on wine and £1 for beer.

It would be a good place to go with a group of friends for a reasonably priced night!

We where quite suprised by the size of the resturant when we had to use the bathroom,it just goes way back also you can have a nosey in the kitchen while your at it.We sat at the front and there is a good warm fire so all cosy for the girlfriend of to a good start. We both had the crab linguine for starter which was soo good 100% recommend, then the monkfish curry which was also very good.We had got an offer on groupon for £20 which was great and we will defo be going back,so overall for food, service and atmosphere it is very good indeed.

We've been here about five times since it opened this summer. Each time it's been consistently excellent. This time we walked down in the snow, for Sunday lunch and watched the white horses from a great vantage point by a roaring fire. We had squid, venison sausages, smoked pork, fish curry and venison sausages. Just the thing to lift the January blues.

2nd visit to this restaurant & I must say that it suits us better at lunch time as it lacked atmosphere in the evening, due in part to overly bright lighting & the long, fairly narrow shape of the restaurant which means it is a bit like a corridor.

The food is excellent, especially the fish curry & the hake with Thai broth & noodles( a spoon would have been useful). It was very good value for money although prices have increased slightly since our last visit. The service is still a bit on the slow side in spite of the fact that there were not many customers at 12.00 & they still do not accept debit/credit cards. However, they are now licensed.

It is predominantly a fish restaurant although there are a couple of alternatives for non fish lovers.

Overall -definitely worth a visit.

Myself and partner have dined here often and have always had a good experiance until our last visit!!!
After we had finished our main course we were approached by the "restaurant manager" and asked us if everything was ok? when we answered and told him that everything was enjoyable he then proceeded to accuse us of making a waitress cry!!! Apparently when she cleared our table and asked us if everything was ok my partner answered her with "what do u think"!!!! The under trained waitress had picked up on a conversation we were having between ourselves about picking our honeymoon destination and proceeded to create an uncalled for drama resulting in us being accused in the wrong!!
After she came out from where ever she was hiding she completely avoided our table and then proceeded to talk to an off duty member of staff (who we recognised from our previous visits) and made it very obvious that she was talking about us making us feel very uncomfortable!!
Since she would not come to our table we then had to make our way up to the bar and ask for the bill!
VERY disappointing and dealt with completely the wrong way! We will not be returning!!!!
