Description: This bar has been around since before the English settlers landed in America (in 1620) and when it originally opened on this exact site on Donaghadee's High Street in 1611, it was known as The King's Arms. Since then, Grace Neill's has been visited by countless locals over the years, as well as smugglers and pirates, sailors and soldiers. Fishermen and lifeboatmen, businessmen and rascals have all enjoyed a drink or two in the original snugs at the front of the bar.

Went here for lunch today and had the 2 course menu for £11.95. I had the breaded haddock with chips and mushy peas and my friend had chicken on champ with crispy onions. Both meals were excellent and they did not stint on the servings. For dessert I had apple crumble with crème Anglais and my friend had sticky toffee pudding-again generous helpings. Staff friendly and nice atmosphere.
Would certainly go there again

The restaurant / bar doesn't look much from the outside but it progresses from old charm through to modern decor at the back.

Barman and staff were extremely efficient & polite, with a good selection of drinks including the local Hilden label.

Food was good value and a decent size - testament to the full restaurant from 19:30hrs onwards on Saturday so booking essential. Four course deal available for two with a bottle of wine for £50 which is great value. Settled for two course each plus two drinks running in at £48.

Top music entertainment from 22:00hrs on a Saturday until 01:00hrs. See you soon with thanks.

We live only 2 miles from this ancient pub & eat there regularly, but i have to tell you about my 70th birthday bash here. We knew to book well in advance as it was being held on a Sat night, & we had 10 guests. i should add that 2 yrs ago we had my husbands 70th here as well.
The food here is cooked when ordered (this is noted on the menu). Even though the bar & restaurant were packed, service was professional well paced. Every meal was served hot, steaks were cooked perfectly---as was the fish. Congratulations to the chef & kitchen staff, & our sincere thanks to Christian for service over & above!!--Though all the staff were wonderful

Husband and I arrived at Grace Neills midweek. There were some tables taken and busier than I had imagined for midweek. Lovely atmosphere.
We chose from the special 3 course + coffee - £45 for a couple including wine.
Food was superb. Tasty, plentiful and presented beautifully. Staff friendly and very attentive without being overbearing.
We will be back!

we visited here as a couple, the food and service were great and the restaurant was busy. However as a couple at a table for 2 we were squeezed in between larger parties on either side so we felt as if we were joining other groups. It was impossible to have a conversation between us and this spoilt what was otherwise a lovely night out.
