We arrived very late on a Friday night driving from London and we were warmly welcomed and even had dinner served at later than 11pm. This was extremly nice.

The Guest House is really well decorated as a whole but our room was a bit simple although comfortable (it was a family one although we were 2 but it was the last available so I guess the others are much nicer).

Breakfast was excellent (homemade!) and we keep a good memory of the walk we have done in the surroundings. The hotel is really well located for discovering the area by foot.

My husband & I spent the weekend (Friday evening to Sunday) here with my three sons and their partners & families. It was everything and more that I had hoped for. The four bedrooms were sumptious, particularly the room occupied by my son, his wife and three children. Breakfasts were excellent, everywhere in the house was spotlessly clean and beautifully appointed and it was child friendly. The splendid house was in fabulous grounds and we were treated as private rather than paying guests by Olive, the owner. Having spent many holidays in the area over the years,it was a real treat to have found accomodation to match the wonderful Gower coast. To top it all, the weather was brilliant. Definitely going back.

Room Tip: With experience of double and family rooms, front and rear facing and both up and down stairs I can...

This guest house was originally a hunting lodge. It has been tastefully converted into a splendid guest house with all the comforts you need but still retaining the original furnishings and appearance. The breakfast included in the tariff is traditional English and more than ample with eggs off the farm and home made jam.The dinners, offered as an extra are well worth indulging. Country cooking with home grown vegetables but with a touch of class. You must stay here.

We stayed at Parc-Le Breos for a long weekend in August. We had a lovely room overlooking parkland with no roads for miles. We were able to sit at our window and watch the birds on the bird feeder. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and went out of their way to help us choose walks. There are so many easily accessable walks from the house, you do not need to use your car. The breakfast was excellent and home cooked. This is definately a place where you are made to feel at home.

Room Tip: The rooms in the front of the house seem to be the best.

Stayed here with a large family party in June. Appalling Welsh weather but everyone enjoyed themselves and looked forward to coming home to Olive's excellent home cooking. Some of the party stayed in the log cabin a short walk from the house with its own cooking facilities. This was lovely and snug and we spent many happy evenings playing games and watching DVDs there. If you are not interested in riding there are many fine walks to the beautiful beaches of Gower. Would defintely go back there and keep fingers crossed for better weather.

I am writing this review as I am astonished at the unkind comments people have made. Most of them petty and unkind. Our stay at the Parc Le Breos was excellent. We arrived early and were given a friendly welcome. We explained that we were interested in the local walks. We were showed to our room promtly and was asked if we would like a tea tray in the conservatory. The tray was laid out beautifully with tea and biscuits. And also a very detailed directory of local walks to read. One of the staff checked to see we were ok and advised us on the Three Cliffs walk giving us directions. Our room was spotless overlooking the front gardens. The breakfast was of a very high standard and cooked fresh to order. The Lodge is an amazing old building with plenty of character. So what if the stairs creak , maybe it's a ghost. Please do not be put off by the negative comments of others.

As someone who usually goes for Hotels I took a chance at Parc Le Breos hoping It lived up to it's Web site promises. WE WERE NOT DISSAPOINTED!. We were warmly welcomed by Olive Edwards with a quick guided tour and a welcome cuppa in the Lounge.Olive and all of her staff went out of thier way to make our stay a good one. The room was clean and beautifully decorated, with good taste . Fresh towels each day and 4 star Hotel standard was pleasing. I thought £40pp per night quite reasonalble, having paid 50 to 75% more for less pleasant surroundings in Hotels in the past..
We had Room 3 which was front facing (which I requested on booking) as this overlooked the well kept gardens and forecourt. The bedding was linen and fresh on our arrivall, and found tea making facilities in Room and in Vistors Food Prep Room for tea anytime usefull.

Home grown fresh ingredients in supeb breakfasts and evening meals made a big impact on us. We found the price of three course evening meal here comparable with eating out but with added comfort and, it took the guess work out of choosing venue and food.

Hotel's ususally provide starchy routine and impersonal stays, but here, people actually conversed and enjoyed each other's company in a lovely atmosphere - I even befreinded the family dog,

A thoroughly refreshing experience I recommend to anyone.
