This is a beautiful location. Staff is extremely helpful both in assisting with normal requests and with local hiking trails. There are trails that start right from the site and many others within a 30 minute drive. Perfect place if you are interested in walking in the mountains.

We have been at Landal hochmontafon a week and stayed in apartment 418. This apartment had a lovely view.

It was nice and quiet and the swimmingpool in the evening was a nice extra

They even gave me a present for my birthday.

It's a shame we can only book this apartment in the winter a week and not for 5 nights. Otherwise we would have come back for our wintersport.

But when we visit again in the summer we definitely will choose again for Landal.

The holiday park was perfect for families with lots to do for people of all ages. The pool was clean and very quiet at the time of our visit which was during the final week of the season and hence we got a very good deal on the price for five nights. The restaurant served good food and drinks at reasonable prices and the staff were all very friendly and spoke good English. A short drive down the mountainside there are several beautiful small villages and towns with all the amenities that we needed. The fact that the park is pet-friendly meant that we were also allowed to take our house cat with us, we were told that she was the first ever cat to stay there! The apartment was traditionally decorated and spacious, a particular highlight being the log burner in the living room which we loved.

Went for a weekend with two families. Lots of snow, four wheel drive or chains needed to get up there. Unfortunately not all pistes open, not prepared yet, so no ski in&out but short drive to the base station. The ski resort is great for beginners/intermediate/kids. Simple but good quality apartments, helpful and friendly staff, nice pool (bit cold though). Relaxed restaurant with good quality food. We could have stayed easy the rest of the week!

We stayed two weeks at Landal Hochmontafon. To us it was the perfect base for hiking. From the park you're within 10 minutes at the mountain cable car to ride up to Schafberg mountain from where many trails starts.

Hochmontafon is not a large holiday park and it is beautifully situated, surrounded by mountains. The apartments are spacious and very well equipped. Ours had two balconies!

On the park there is a small mini-shop, entertainment for children and a beautiful swimming pool and health suite with sauna. Great bread roll service: you have to order a day before but the bread is delivered every morning on your doorstep!

Some of the apartment buildings have there indoor parking area where you have your own parking spot.

The village is to be reached within a 10-minute walk. In the village you will find a small supermarket, ATM and tourist office. Also several pubs during the holiday season. If you want to go out dining; there is a restaurant at the holiday park (closed during our stay but they were busy re-opening it on a short notice) or you can go to one of the hotel-restaurants nearby.

From Gargellen you are within a 30 minutes drive at other villages or cable car stations that takes you to other parts of the Alps. We had a great time in Gargellen. Lots of great trails to hike and to explore the wild nature. For sure we will return!!
