Stayed here to treat the wife on our anniversary, we were not disappointed beautiful rooms and an excellent breakfast sets you up for exploring Shrewsbury which is well worth a visit, as is the Ironbridge and its museums. The b&b is a little off the beaten track but makes up for that with its peaceful tranquil surroundings would certainly recommend it.

Lovely farmhouse, peaceful and relaxing with views across open countryside. Our room, The Ironbridge, was spacious and comfortable. The new tenants were friendly and welcoming and have plans to redecorate and improve the house. Breakfast was delicious.

Brompton Farmhouse is right in the middle of the country, a very rural spot, The house is gorgeous and very very peaceful. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was superb. We were made to feel very welcome.

I stayed at Brompton Farmhouse for just one night when I was attending a wedding in nearby Wroxeter and it felt like I was visiting very tasteful and thankfully absent relatives. The house is beautifully elegant and comfortable and the staff are attentive yet unobtrusive. Relaxing in the sitting room in front of a log fire with a glass of wine and a selection of books and magazines was SO relaxing. Really MINOR niggles at breakfast were not-quite-crisp-enough bacon and brown-bits-in-smoked salmon - otherwise delicious, with lots of options.

Just had our second stay at Brompton and can imagine we will return. The atmosphere has changed significantly in the 18 months since our first visit. With the owner no longer living at the property it almost has the feeling of a small hotel rather than a traditional english B&B. The place is run by a lovely Girl, Anda, who is very welcoming and obviously works incredibly hard to keep the place running smoothly and everybody happy. Both times we enjoyed an excellent evening meal as well as the usual afternoon tea and excellent breakfast. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The one small criticism is that on our second visit the lovely local hand made jams and honeys that were available last year have been replaced by supermarket brands. I hope this is not suggestive of an overall drop in standards in future.

Room Tip: Ask for a larger room - and specify on suite if you dont want to share a bathroom.

This B&B was overpriced, we paid 95 GBP for a room that was so small we couldn't even leave our suitcases open.
We found the farmhouse in the National Trust Bed and Breakfast brochure.
The one member of staff was very friendly and did her best, but on the whole we thought it was highly overrated and the photos on the internet did not show what our room really looked like.
