An unremarkable white painted restaurant on the side of the A49 just south of Shrewsbury, the Bridge impresses once inside. The interior is bright and modern, though not too trendy, with wood floors and white-painted walls. The friendly and welcoming staff were happy to explain the menu, which included a few less common items. (The sausage and mash was very good.) Service was attentive without being intrusive.
The menu did seem a little pricey but we took advantage of the two-for one deals. We went on a Monday; these might not be around at the weekend.
Overall, if you’re looking for something a step up from pub grub, the Bridge Inn is worth trying.
