Really nice - I didn't stay here but had lunch with a group of people. Food was fantastic, although the portions were small and it was a bit fussy. Beautiful hotel with lots of space and nicely decorated, very clean.

Hotel Marienhof welcome guests since 1864. Grand 3-floor building in traditional Alp design provides wide variety of quality services, from good food to wellness center. we liked the hotel, there is many "buts" though. The room we had was clean, tidy and spatious enough for a couple but furnishing was somewhere between classy and shaby and matraces in bed deserve to be renewed. All our bath towels were exchanged every day even though it was not needed. Bathrobe was available at reception against a deposit while in many hotels we have been to it is usually part of room equipment. Breakfast service was great but some days when there was not many guests the service was not ready yet at 7:15 while breakfast room opens at 7:00. We had also lunch and dinner a la carte and everything was very good but the range of choices was very limited (3 vegetarian meals, 3 fish meals, 3 meat meals) and price unjustifiably high (~ 15 EUR) compared to other restaurants nearby (~12 EUR). Staff was always kind, friendly yet professional and helpful. Wellness center with swimming pool, Finnish sauna, infra-red sauna and steam bath was excellent for relaxation after hiking. Hotel was quite and well heated. Overall this is very good traditional Alp hotel with some "buts" and rather high price. Still it was a pleasant stay for us.

Everything about Reichenau is redolent of past glory. Otto von Habsburg was born here; the Rothschild villa is still standing and their are more modest villas all around. This hotel shares this ambience with high ceilings, empire style and grand staircases. However it is very close to the road and some rooms are rather noisy. We were also disturbed by some badly behaved children who were running up and down corridors and even round the breakfast room.
The staff were welcoming. Dinner was fairly expensive and average in quality. We were the only ones in the restaurant and occasionally felt a bit neglected. There appeared to be a big dinner going on somewhere else. Breakfast was good. Overall I thought the room and breakfast was good value, the cosy bar was well stocked and service good with modest prices, but the restaurant a bit on the dear side for what it offered. I had lamb and the meat was grey and bloodless. The bar is very smoky but there is an alternative lounge across the corridor which is smoke free.

Room Tip: Rooms away from the road will be quieter.

I stayed here for a week while on business. I believe this is a family run hotel, and you can tell. It is very cozy, with a great breakfast buffet with lots of variety. I never ate dinner there, but the bar is very nice with friendly servers and patrons. The rooms are older, but very clean. Beds are the typical Austrian sized beds, there are no king sized beds like we Americans are used to over here. There is a large garden outside that probably looks beautiful in the summer.

This hotel is fantastic. The rooms are elegant and cozy, the staff of the hotel are very professional, friendly and very helpful. The buffet food is absolutely first class and the menu changes every day.
This is the second year we have stayed at this hotel.
I highly recommend it.
