We visited with friends last year and this year the evening was just as good. Excellent value dinner (22 euros for three courses, with a slightly more complex menu for a few euros more), diverse selection of three choices for starter and main, and a lengthy pudding menu. Good for French specialties, and great finesse in the cooking and presentation. Very friendly staff. I ate the cevenol salad, guinea-fowl, and the vacherin cevenol - this last is huge!
Knocks most UK restaurants into a cocked hat, given the quality of cooking, the attention to detail and value. Our friends are regulars.
Sadly however my husband who is gluten-free (coeliac) was advised by the chef last year that because patisserie is a speciality of the house, there is a lot of wheat flour around in the kitchen, so he chose not to eat.
