We visited with friends last year and this year the evening was just as good. Excellent value dinner (22 euros for three courses, with a slightly more complex menu for a few euros more), diverse selection of three choices for starter and main, and a lengthy pudding menu. Good for French specialties, and great finesse in the cooking and presentation. Very friendly staff. I ate the cevenol salad, guinea-fowl, and the vacherin cevenol - this last is huge!
Knocks most UK restaurants into a cocked hat, given the quality of cooking, the attention to detail and value. Our friends are regulars.

Sadly however my husband who is gluten-free (coeliac) was advised by the chef last year that because patisserie is a speciality of the house, there is a lot of wheat flour around in the kitchen, so he chose not to eat.

Fine cuisine, but copious. The 25€ menu is easily enough for all but the most ravenous diner. The staff are friendly and attentive and although large, the restaurant has a good ambience. My only criticism is that the food can be very rich, so choose carefully, especially the delicious deserts.

My friend and I have just done a 12 day trip around France, by chance just driving by this Restaurant at lunch time, thought we would see if they had a table,
we found a friendly greeting and shown to a table,
As both of us do very little French, but we saw a vegetarian option, they tried to explain what they could do for us, and we just said yes, lovely starter, super main, and while we were eating this the table next to us had the sweets delivered and my friend said i am having one of those, a meringue with chestnut ice cream, yum,
service was great food was perfect the restaurant lovely,
A perfect experience,

We joined family staying at this hotel for an evening meal, the staff were excellent, the menu varied, we had the fixed 25 euro which had a choice of 3 items per course and it had something to suit everyone. Service started well with a complement tomato 33333333 the staff had a good knowledge of the food even had an English menu if things got a bit arkward. The only down side as we were some of the last dinners to be seated the staff/manager/owner started clearing and setting tables for the morning, made us feel a little rushed at the end of a lovely meal.

It started badly because they left the 3 of us hovering around the doorway, like spare parts at a wedding, for 4 or 5 minutes before one of the several available waiters decided that someone needed to come over to us to show us to a table. The menu looked promising, but the food did not live up to our expectations. My terrine de dorade in Langoustine sauce turned out to be a tasteless mousse with a shrivelled up prawn on top of it, the gigollete de lapin wasn't too bad but my licorice flavoured creme brulee was a disappointment and my wife left most of her lemon tart (rock hard pastry containing a runny lemon sauce). The indoor dining room is modern and spacious, but it was quite noisy, because of the echo from the ceiling. To summarise, most of the food quality was average, presented poorly and served with lack of enthusiasm - so unfortunately, we won't be going back
