Stopped here on the way to the Black Forest. The Ibis Budget hotels are normally pretty good and this was no exception. Friendly staff, functional but clean rooms and a convenient location just off the motorway next to a commercial zone full of restaurants (and an IKEA) makes this a good place to stop over. Only about 5 minutes to centre of Reims so would be fine for visitors to the city. Good value for money of course, we paid less than €100 for two rooms (breakfast is extra and if I had one minor criticism, the breakfast room was a bit small for the number of guests).

Used this hotel for a football trip with my son. Our room was functional & not particularly big, but it was spotlessly clean. There was plently of free parking space. The hotel is situated on a commercial park, therefore it was close to plenty of "brand restaurants" & fast food joints. The buffet breakfast was very good for 5.50 Euros.
This hotel is ideal for an overnight stop en-route. However, as a base for visiting Reims it is about 5km from the centre, so a car is essential.

The girl at reception was extremely friendly and was even able to talk to us in German language. Enough parking space, clean rooms (of course, small rooms, but you know this before), beds with duvet (not this ugly woolen blankets coverd by a sheet as you find them often in France and UK), around the hotel you find a lot of eating outlets in walking distance. All over all, a good place to stop over for a night.

For 61.5 Euros for two people including breakfast excellent value and convenient location travelling from Calais. Clean, warm and a superb buffet breakfast, helpful reception staff, free secure off road parking, several 'chain style' eating places nearby. En-suite pod type shower & WC. No tea/coffee making facilities but this is normal for Europe. TV in room where BBC World service could be viewed. Poor quality towels supplied so take your own. Basic accommodation but ideal for the price - what can you expect?

Room Tip: Ask for non smoking rooms.

Never again will we set foot in this Etap. Rubbish staff, poor breakfast and room is tiny.
We booked to stay here months in advance and had checked the small print if 2 kids (3 yr & 6mths) could stay in the same room as the parents. It states in the small print that they can. We have done this before in other hotels and it was fine. The woman on reception refused to let more than 3 people stay in the room and we ended up having to stay in separate hotels as the Etap was booked out. We showed the lady on the front desk the terms of booking but she flat refused to let us all in. She joked if we had a tent we could stay on the Ikea lawn next door. We contacted Etap upto 6 times to discuss this and they wont reply to us. These guys are a joke. This hotel is not good for young families.
