My partner and I stayed here in April and had a very enjoyable stay. We stayed a week all inclusive and didn't have any complaints at all. It was in a nice area and perfectly located for everything. The food was nice and the staff were very pleasant. Definitely worth the money.

Pleasant staff

Basic room - no aircon which was tough at night

Costa silencio isnt exactly an easy on the eye town so doesnt help the hotel

Food was really poor, ate there twice the whole holiday (so many good places close by to eat). Just really greasy, repetative food with cheap wine only for drinks or water

all inclusive drinks were good, small cups but just keep going back, abit of queue later on but generally we headed out then anyway

pool area is nice, big open pool with lifeguard. not too bad to get a lounger but as usual get there early.

overall i just thought it was a very average holiday and it wasnt exactly cheap on our package.

Good hotel considering the price paid. Set in a residential area this really is a quiet location. Buses to Los Christianos only 10 minutes walk away, would recommend renting a car. Rooms are spacious with electric hob, and kept clean, all have balconies. Downside to the room was no air conditioning and no non slip mat in the shower, these really are a must as it was hot and uncomfortable at nights.
Food, which as having been a proffesional chef before my retirement is my real bug bear was excellent and on the most part hot, although there was a microwave if one wanted the food hotter. The dishes served were imaginative and plentiful, duck a l'orange and BBQ ribs were notably good.
Bar, modern styled with the all inclusive drinks explained on a bar menu, although drinks came in plastic glasses, I can understand why with the pool being so near, shame they haven't thought of making a barrier so that glasses could be used by the bar and plastic for those going by the pool. As I have seen with other reviews the bar did finish for all inclusive at 10.30pm but then it did open at 10.30am so that's 12 hours, more than enough for anyone to get paralitic if they so wished.
The 2 girls that did the animation/entertainment were brilliant and the entertainers that came in some nights were on the whole reasonable.
I got the impression that there were not enough staff, they could certainly do with more in the restaurant and bar, although again one did not have to wait long to be served, no longer than one would in an English pub. With the exception of one of the receptionists all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
We would consider going back to this hotel, and would certainly go back if they installed air conditioning in the rooms.

Room Tip: Upstairs rooms get more breeze in the evenings.

I stayed at the Palia Don Pedro from the 21st October to the 28th October and all I can say it was the best holiday ever.
Please don't listen to the bad reviews. It was one nicest hotels I've ever stopped in.

Room: We had booked a two bedroom apartment but it wasn't ready so we had to stay in a one bedroom for the first night. However it was no problem to us as there was two single beds in the bedroom and two single beds in the living area. Both rooms were spotless and very spacious. Rooms were cleaned everyday and we had fresh towels every other day.

Food: The food was beautiful and that's coming from a very fussy eater. A great variety of food. Never had a bad meal.

Staff: The staff were very friendly and helpful. The animacion team Julie and Laurie were fantastic. The nicest and most friendliest girls you will ever meet. They worked so hard during the day and night. They tried to get to people involved throughout the day with the different activities but were never pushy. They made our holiday.

Location: The hotel is situated in nice but quiet area. The nearest supermarket is about a 5minute walk. The airport, Los Cristianos and Playa De Las Americas is about 15-20minute taxi drive away.

Pool: Nice big pool and always clean. Plenty of sun beds.

You do have to pay €10 for the wristband for each person but you do get it back at the end of the holiday. The safe was €25 for the week but we got €10 back when we checked out.

Travelled with friends and they agree that it was one of nicest hotels they've stopped in and we can't wait to go again. Thank you to everyone at the Palia Don Pedro for such a great holiday.

Sorry, i really can't understand the review below. We stayed here from 21 October til 28 October. Had booked a 2 bed apartment. Got there and it wasn't ready for us but we was given a 1 bed apartment with 2 bed's in the living room just for one night and told we would move the following day, which we did with no issues. Maids brilliant, came and cleaned every day for us. All the staff super friendly. Had to pay €10 deposit for the wristbands which you get back at the end of the week- no problem. Receptionists great help with directions and for you to order taxi's etc.

All Inclusive was excellent. 10:30am-10:30pm it ran. Can't believe people moaning that it finishes at 10:30.. as if 12 hours isn't enough time. Breakfast 8-10am. Lunch 1-3pm and Dinner 7:30-9:30pm. Snacks such as burgers, hot dogs, chips etc available at the bar all day. Drinks were really good measures as well. Food was excellent. Lots of choice. At least 2 meat and 1 fish dishes on offer every single night alongside your usual chips, pasta, salad etc. Wine and Water with meals... so what, you have all day to enjoy your usual soft drinks and beer.

Wasn't overly busy, was always able to get a sun bed, whatever time of day. Really nice big pool.
Animacion team of Julie & Laurie were so good. Tried to get everyone involved without being pushy. Really enjoyed the archery, darts and the other games we got involved in. The evening entertainment was fine as well starting with a kids disco and then the main entertainment followed by music and dancing ( if people were willing enough to get up like us). Julie & Laurie really made the hotel and made our holiday great. A lot of french people there but the French & English people really seemed to get on despite a slight language barrier. The Xesco night was one of the best night's i've ever had. It was hilarious.

Location is good, in a quiet, nice area with some bars and shops around. 15 minute walk to Las Galletas with a pebble beach and main area and then only 15 minutes taxi ride from los cristianos, las americas and the airport.

Room was really good, big size and perfect for our needs. Right by the bar and pool. Was a really great holiday, perfect location, great food & drink, great company, great entertainment, great weather & met some really nice people. Loved it and was so sad at coming home. I want to go back to the Don Pedro but fear it may not be the same again. Seriously, don't let the stupid bad reviews put you off. Its a 3* hotel, not a 5*, you can't expect 5* for what you pay. A tip is to get involved as much as you can, if you do that, i'm certain you will have a great holiday. An absolute gem of a hotel. Don't change Don Pedro, perfect as you are!

I have never written a bad review before and have stayed in lots of three star hotels in the past, and I know that you get what you pay for but what you dont bargain for is.....
1. Only one person serving at the one and only bar up to 10.30pm, then there were 2 as you had to pay for the drinks.
2. The person serving at the bar also had to make fries, burgers, hotdogs and crepes as well as serve on her own. Burgers were disgusting, the meat was a kind of purple colour.
3. Only 1 person in restaurant at any one time, and you had to queue up every meal time when entering the restaurant to give your room number despite wearing an all-inclusive band, as it was open to the general public.
4. Too much veal and rabbit served, catering primarily to French, and the chicken and pork wasn't good. I must say that the roasted pork and crackling served one everning however, was fantastic!
5. You could not take drinks into the restaurant, only water and wine offered, no tea or coffee. Wine was undrinkable, and water upset both mine and my husbands stomach.
6. No AC in room, ceiling fan in lounge no ventilation in bedroom, no portable fans to hire.
7. Residential apartments had dogs, so mess in gardens not pleasant, and we had to complain about all night barking!
There is quite a bit more, but I think this is enough. On the plus side, it was clean and the sunbeds were plentiful. The entertainment team really earned their money and I cannot praise them enough for encouraging people to join in with fun and games. However, If the weather had not been brilliant , I would have wanted to come home early. A tip from me was to go to the small beach about 10-15 walk away, towards Galletas. It is quieter than the hotel and you can snorkel to a long way out. There is also a good bar out of the hotel and turn right about quarter of a mile. It is run by an Englishman who will let you take your own food in and he sells English beer. If you have already booked, as long as the sun shines you will have a good time, but if you are thinking of booking, I would advise you to choose another cheap hotel, it cannot be as bad as this one. The overall impression is that it used to be a self-catering hotel, and they have changed it to primarily All Inclusive, but on a shoe-string.
