Thank you for sharing your experience. Upon receiving your review, we have conducted an investigation and found out that only 1 night of Hotel Fee was charged to you. Our system is supposed to charge 2 nights of Hotel Fee, which it failed to capture due to technical glitch. This is the first time it has happened and we have highlighted this issue to our vendor to rectify the glitch. It is important for us to ensure that the Hotel Fee (previously known as “Local Government Fee”) is collected as we are required to submit the fee to the government. This exercise was implemented on 1 June 2014 for the purpose of generating monies to develop and promote Penang’s tourism infrastructures, which is also applicable in Malacca as well.
Please accept our apologies for the lack of effective communication from our end and we hope our Executive Assistant Manager, Mr Goh’s phone call to you, has clarified the Hotel Fee and security deposit issues. We hope your experience does not mar your overall impression of our hotel and we hope you will give us a chance to make amends on our end.
