I bought a voucher to have buffet dinner in the resort. I was excited because this is my first time visiting the resort, so I happily brought my husband and baby girl along. Before I went, I have already read some reviews about the poor management of the hotel so I didn't really have high expectation on the hotel. However what we encountered was really beyond shocking. I selected 1 star (terrible) in this review but if I could, I would not have given even give a single rate for this hotel. Before we went there, we had called up to make a reservation. However upon arrival, we actually had to share table with some other guests. As soon as the buffet started, everyone rushed out to get their food and within 10 mins, all the food was snapped up. We only managed to get a piece of sausage and barely even half a plate of rice. Could you believe that? The people then waited and waited for refill but the food just never came. About half an hour later, the rice was refilled but that too got snapped up within minutes. None of the other food was refilled. Outside the BBQ section, the cook was preparing some BBQ meat but it was just not enough for the guests. Imagine everyone had to queue up just to get a piece of satay or a piece of chicken meat. My husband and I felt really humiliated by the situation. Everyone was practically "fighting" for food because there was just not enough to distribute for the guests. My husband and I left the place after just a piece of sausage, a piece of satay, a plate of rice and some fruits.. yup, that was all that we both managed to get! The couple next to our table came late and for all I knew, they left without eating anything.. Jerejak resort, don't sell your buffet voucher online if you know that you are not able to handle the crowd. By 8 pm, most of the people were already waiting at the jetty and couldn't wait to leave the resort. We knew that the next ferry was supposed to be at 8.30 pm but seeing that almost all the guests were already at the jetty and practically there was no food for the guests to eat, couldn't the management just start the boat service earlier to cater for the huge crowd who was trying to leave the resort as soon as possible. The next day after the trip, my baby girl was sick due to the strong sea wind when we were queuing up at the jetty. Well, ok I shouldn't really put that blame on the hotel management.. but for what we had paid, it was definitely not worth and we felt that we had wasted our time for nothing. For sure, I won't be going back to Jerejak resort again unless they buck up their services...
