Been coming here since the place opened and I'd highly recommend it for an authentic taste of rustic home cooking, if you can go in low season.
The mixed appetizer sampler is good, but offerings can fluctuate. As the menu focuses on traditional food, I assume they use what is in season or maybe it's just what they have left in the kitchen. Often wondered...
The crowds are overtaking the restaurant and sometimes it can feel a bit too overwhelming as the dining spaces are small.
The bill isn't often clear and they should work on that. I never figure out how were charged as the bill has always been presented on a scrap of paper. The amount has never been too unreasonable- (about 25 euro each) so we never bothered to ask questions. However they should be more respectful and give customers a proper receipt!

A quiet little town in the southern tip of Italy. Very authentic, anciently beautiful! The restaurant serves south italian food - of southern italian "olden days" recipies - absolutely enticing to the taste buds.

Everything you read about this place is true. Its small, its magical, you need reservations but the food is fantastic and the setting is even better. They have the back garden and the front area overlooking the church. Ask to seat in the front as the setting is just like you would imagine in the old Italian movies. This is a simple place with simple furniture / wooden benches. On two visits we were there the village people would gather outside the church and sing songs / dance. It's all a bit slightly surreal but so rear to find. I would highly recommend going there just to experience it.
The food is meat and very different to what you find on the coast. Absolutely delicious, honest and very inexpensive. Without doubt have the antipasti - one order is enough for two people. My husband had braised beef and he said it was the best ever. I had a home made pasta and veal meatballs. Everything is very good and made that date. Dont miss desert! Vino of the house is great or they have a very nice local wines with the most expensive at €20 Euro. Bill for 6 was around 70 Euro with service.

It's a tiny restaurant so yes, you better make a reservation ahead. Try to have your table on the small square in front of the restaurant. It's magical. Inside it's a bit aqward ans in the inside terrasse it's fine!

When we went there we eventually had to wait 30 minutes for the table. We asked for a bottle of prosecco and drank it on the place. (They finally offered it to us).

As for the food the collection of antipasti are really tasty, and it's only after having eaten them that they ask you if you want something next. The primi and secondi were not as good, but simply because the antipasti are terribly good.

Patu' is a cute little town worth seeing at night. The restaurant stands in e main square and is a nice little original building from the local architecture.
Food is genuine. Not much choice and all local produce, no fish.
The antipasti is the best course, rich and various.
Little choice of vegetables.
Atmosphere is pleasant and is definitely good value for money.
Unfortunately as this is a popular place, staff is overwhelmed and unable to offer good service despite being very nice.
We had to wait 30m for our reserved table and ended up eating in the main square on tables added at the last minute to meet demand.
