Popped in for a late lunch and found a wide variety menu and specials board. Not many people there, service was good and the outlook over the beach is great. Can recommend the stir fry's.

Thank obbor

Dear Obbor

Thank you for your short review on Surfers Beach Restaurant, we are glad you enjoyed the experience the service & the overall atmosphere of the place. We note that you recommend the stir fry’s which is a favourite amongst our regulars. Next time you are in Seychelles and if you do come back to our establishment we can recommend the grilled fish with creole or coconut sauce and also our Octopus curry which is a favourite and one of our specialities.

Until next time happy dining wherever you maybe or travel.

From some of the previous reviews We thought this might be worth a visit. It was the Friday evening and we both had an Indian special. There was nothing much special about any part of meal.

Thank Ken J

Thank you for your visit to Surfers Beach Restaurant, we note your comments and are somewhat disappointed that you found the experience as "Nothing Special" Previous reviews and comments on trip advisor of which the majority have all been positive good ones including our guest book also prove that the majority of our clients have been very happy with the quality of the food and service.
Perhaps it would have been better to be more specific with what you were not happy with. In this business we do realize that different people have different expectations. If there is anything customers are not happy about in particular we like to hear constructive criticism on what the actual problem was so that we can correct problems. It is very difficult to work on a review like yours which is so vague.
However in this case we shall take it as" Water Under The Bridge" so to speak as we know the majority are happy with the overall experience therefore this review will be taken with a pinch of salt. We are aware it is very easy to write such comments for whatever intentions & reasons you may have.
We have an Indian Chef from India with experience in prestigious hotels in India and the UK for that matter and he was trained and worked in the UK for Hilton London & Docklands and also for the Thistle group Hotel chain. His Indian dishes are genuine & authentic Indian cuisine.
Thank You

We went to this restaurant after being recommended by our hotel reception staff as we wanted a change of food and scenerary in a local eaterie, We were guided to Surfers Beach Restaurant, it was in the evening and after calling for a reservation we were kindly told that they do a pick up service to all the nearby hotels and guest houses. This was again a fantastic initiative as that meant I could have a few drinks and be driven back. When we were picked up the driver was very corteous and greeted us pleasanty and opened the doors to the minibus for us and chauffered us the short 10 min drive to the restaurant. On arriving we were greeted with smiles and very freindly waitresses and staff and seated at a table with an amazing view of the ocean and full moon shining off the water. We had the Lamb chops, seafod platter and mutton curry which was available. Our drinks were served well chilled and in a timely manner. They have a good selection of South African and Australian wines and all resonably priced. The food was served within a resonable waiting time and it was simply scrumptious and very well presented. We should have come to this restaurant earlier during our stay in Seychelles. We did go back once more before leaving the Seychelles and it was just as memorable. I without hesitation or doubt recommend this as must try to other visitors to this Island. The costs are very competitive when compared to the 3,4 & 5 star hotels and if anything the food is way better. We were amazingly surprised at how very reasonable our bill came to.This is my first revew on tripadvior and we have been to many restaurants all over the world and this has been one of the best family owned and run restaurants we have been to, I therefore finally decided to get on trip advisor and write a review for them !

All the best to Surfers Beach Restaurant, we shall be back as we have fallen in love with these islands.

This is a surprising little food joint in that from the outside it doesn't look like much- but you go inside, and there's a cool rustic beach vibe about the place, with some of the tables downstairs on the beach, and the food is IncRedIBLe!!!
The first night I went, we had the grilled prawns in a garlic sauce, which were divine... I could have asked for a whole bowl of that bisque-esque sauce and drank it as is.
The second afternoon I went, I had one of their pizzas which are huge!!!
Honestly? This is easily my favourite place to eat so far in the Seychelles.
The staff are friendly and smiling, food is quick to come out, and comparatively speaking, great value for money.
You will not regret coming here!

We are happy that you have enjoyed your recent visits to Surfers Beach Restaurant, and also that you have more so enjoyed the Indian cuisine prepared by our resident Chef. You will be happy to note that we intend bringing in a second Chef from Chennai this time to work alongside the current one. This will give us more flexibility and consistency in achieving a good reputation !

We look forward to seeing you again soon and hope that you will spread the word about our Indian cuisine. It is our intention to change the Indian menu we are currently offering on a monthly basis and this will help in having more variety and flavours of India. Apart from that our normal regular A La Carte and Chefs Specials will continue as normal.

Best Regards
