We arrived at Calou by de-fault. The guest house down the road had double booked us and as an apology placed us at Calou on a dinner bed and breakfast deal. This proved to be a real bonus. Our room was not in the main building but in the semi detached villas next door called Birgo in room 1. The room was functional and catered well for our needs with a fridge and good air conditioning. We hired bikes and used these to access the local beaches. Breakfast included fruit, cake, toast and we chose to add an omelette. However, the star of the show was the delightful evenings we spent chatting with other residents over an excellent buffet styled meal which was freshly prepared and included fish, chicken and vegetarian choices.
The staff were excellent, friendly and could not do enough. Should we return it was this and evenings spent chatting with people from other nations around the table. Well done Calou!More
