We have just returned from a fantastic stay at the New Emerald Cove (NEC), a lovely hotel set in the lush tropical garden, on the one of the most stunning, white sand beach of Praslin Island. Hotel can only be accessed by boat from the Baie St. Anne jetty (10 minutes complimentary ride) so the beach with crystal clear turquoise water is very quiet and private, giving you gorgeous feeling that this gem is only yours. Hotel is offering many activities: by walking or canoeing you can explore neighboring beaches with the colorful contrast between the sea and huge granite rocks, snorkeling on the coral barrier just in the front, or challenge yourself in the forest trekking with Jeffry. The location of hotel also makes it a great place to experience all that Seychelles islands have to offer. Hotel is daily organizing full of half-day excursions (similar price like other tour operators) to other islands that includes delicious BBQ lunch made on spot just for us. If you have any doubt where to go and what to sightsee, there is always giving help of Catia and Gina which will give you the best advice and made perfect arrangements for you (nothing is too much trouble for these very friendly and cheerful people). In general, the staff is very gentle and polite.
Tip: Don’t use any travel agency to arrange your holiday; contacting directly this lovely hotel you’ll make an easy booking and save money. This hotel definitely offers great value for money.
Accommodation: Standard rooms are tastefully decorated with wooden furniture and floor and have a big wooden deck veranda either over-looking the beautiful garden or sea. Although the standard room is not extra luxurious, it is of reasonable size, clean, and provided with everything we actually needed (very comfortable bed and pillows, sufficient wardrobe space, safe box, air-conditioning, mini fridge). The bathroom is provided with the shower, toiletries, hairdryer, bathrobe (Frette) and thick fluffy towels that are changed every day (beach/pool towels provided as well). The room has floor-to-ceiling wooden window shutters (persiane) instead of traditional glass but there was no insects and morning light in the room. Coming from the place in the desert, we had a pleasure of hearing sounds of the sea waves and occasional rain. We were also particularly happy of not having TV and internet available in the room (only in communal areas) – perfect to escape from the hectic whole day’s life and have total relaxation.
Food: Both, breakfast and dinner buffet food was very good, with great quality, variety and taste. We loved the crunchy, hot croissants and pastries which along with Lavazza espresso coffee was an absolute pleasure every morning (not often could be found even in 5* hotels). As part of dinner buffet, don’t miss mouth-watering BBQ (meat and fish option always available) and wide selection of cheese. For tea lovers, there is every day complimentary “afternoon tea” including homemade cookies.
No wonder that spending holiday in NEC, we truly feel Creole spirit and understood a meaning of the slogan “Not just another place, another world” found in the in-flight magazine of Air Seychelles. Thanks a lot for a memorable stay and we will definitively return. Wish we were still there!

got back two weeks ago from this stunning place. over all this hotel is a very good 4 stars hotel, with the service of a 5 stars hotels.
the location is great. very privet beach with a good snorkling sites, nature surrounds you where ever you go. the short boat trips, which was free, was just a small discomforte, and also part of the fun experiens of this special place.
Rooms are all wooden furnished, comfuratable and clean. we had a sea side view, that was beautiful, but all rooms are very close to the beach.
Took two tours, which was great. I recommand to travel to La-Digue, it's 20 minuts trip by boat, and you can be there all day, rent a bike, and tour the island lovely beaches, and sites.
the staff is very wellcoming and efficient, and over all people of Prasline and La-digue was nice, and helpful, from the minut we landed in Prasline airport till the we had to leave.

From the moment we arrived at the hotel's private jetty, we were welcomed by the very friendly staff to this beautiful and tranquil resort. Our beach facing, luxury room could not have been better. If your idea of a holiday is total relaxation - either sitting by the stunning beach or by the pool, this is a perfect place to be. The coral reef which is protected from the main sea is an amazing place to snorkel (equally as good, or better than Thailand). You can literally step out of your room, onto the beach and a short swim takes you to the calm and safe reef. We found the food was well presented, tasty and varied, catering to European tastes as well as local cuisine. Our only regret is that we only stayed for four nights. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel., thank you for a great holiday that we had.

The setting, the food, the corals, the giant tortoises and the helpful staff all make this a wonderful place to holiday. There are lots of places to visit nearby if inclined e.g. Coco De Mer.

Room Tip: Request a sea facing room with virandar Do not expect things to happen quickly, dont forget its 30 to 40 deg. Take care in when using the main island ferry to pralin, its afvree for all and an experience!

Great location for this isolated hotel, with very friendly and helpful staff, beautiful garden, and amazing surroundings. We took three trips to neighbouring islands, went snorkelling, canoeing (and saw sea turtles right next to the hotel).
Two disappointments: the food is good but only so, and you have to pay 5 euros to use the boat (which was supposed to be free...).
Anyway, we have decided to come back with our children as soon as we can!

Room Tip: Higher rooms have A/C; ask for a room in front of the sea.
